This location no longer exist...I had errands in the nearby area and though that driving a bit further do drop a huge bag of donation would be perfect so only to realize that this location no longer has The Salvation Army Donation Center drop off sadly as this Kalama Valley Shopping Center is a great location to place a bit with lots of parking space making it a super easy and quick drop off. Not sure what other Salvation Army donation drop off has in this location but there is a Goodwill container here though that as well wasn't open or occupied by a staff and can't be sure if it's staying here as well. Drive down to Hawaii Kai as they have Green Drop and Goodwill as well that has staff ready to accept your items. Thank you!

The store is FOR profit, but does donate some items to a non for profit. This location offers some unusual merchandise due to the international population in Hawaii. I found several interesting paintings and vintage Christmas decor. My daughter likes to find craft supplies for the kids. The prices have gone way up on some merchandise since my visit last year. The store is well organized with most of the inventory being clothing. The parking on the lower level is hard to come by, but there is plenty of parking in the upstairs parking garage. If you donate something, they will give you a coupon for 20% off. Also, on Tuesdays, seniors receive 30% off. I've never bought anything after several visits. Time would be better spent at the beach.

I've volunteered with many organizations and must say, I had one of the best experiences at Angel…read moreNetwork Charities. They're located on Kalanianaole Highway in Hawaii Kai and share a parking lot with Calvary by the Sea Lutheran Church. The organization is one of the Hawaii Foodbank's recipients to distribute food to those in need and they serve the Hawaii Kai and Waimanalo area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by other volunteers and they were immediately grateful as they do not normally have enough volunteers to sort and distribute food. We began by placing fresh produce in boxes. There was a variety of fruits and vegetables-apples, bananas, green beans, etc. and each box was to be given to a family. Tables were set up outside of the warehouse and we lined them with more food-loaves of bread, frozen meals and veggies, soup, and even cookies and donuts. In addition, there were pallets of dry goods available that consisted of mac and cheese boxes, cereal bars and crackers. There were people lined up around the corner waiting for their food baskets. Angel Network is pretty organized in the process of distributing the food. They allow a few people to check in at once and then distribute the pre-packed produce boxes. Once they received their boxes, they could shop the line of other food. Many of the clients were so grateful and a few of them were a little acquisitive and had to be told there was a limit to what they could take. Sadly, this is a result of not being able to afford enough food on their own. Cleanup wasn't too bad. We put the undistributed food away, folded up the tables and then lunch was provided for us. One of the volunteers graciously cooked a hearty meal for the volunteers and we were told that that lunch is always provided for volunteers. Another thing that's so great about this community effort is that the clients also volunteer their time as a way to give back to the organization. Many of the volunteers that day were also recipients of the food distribution. I think Angel Network Charities is one of those unsung neighborhood heroes and to some, surprisingly in a more affluent neighborhood. Just goes to show that there are always people in need-no matter where they live. This is one of the organizations I will continue to volunteer my time with.

To…read moredrop off and donate some unused and items that I hope to find great home as I packed my little carry on bag with clothings that I no longer use it feels nostalgic as I wheel it to my car though this trip is for a great cause. Green Drop Hawaii Kai location is in the corner of the huge "Park and Ride" lot sharing spaces with Goodwill and a Reynolds Recycling container. Though this Green Drop Hawaii Kai location is literally across from the Towne Center location the giving never stops as it's almost filled to capacity. Open daily makes it an easy place to drop off and the staff are there so friendly and willing to take it off your hands. Thank you!

The need never ends…read more.. Here is yet another Green Drop location and it's in Hawaii Kai...Towne Center to be exact and though you'd wonder where but in the lot right beside Raising Cane's and you can see the huge green trailer as you're driving up Keahole Street. As I'm driving up and parked a staff came out almost immediately and asked if I'm donating as if she sees the struggle in me for the drop as packed in one of my favorite luggage that's taken great care of me from Vegas to Japan has came the time to let it go. Filled are various items as well from toys to many brand new items and hope that it will benefit the American Red Cross as the donation never stops, open daily with the friendliest staff to help you. Goodwill is exactly just that and donating is a giving process that goes to great use though i think I'm the one that's most grateful as these items are personal and have been treasured at some point though the use has sadly gone beyond what's needed and knowing that it can continue to be useful is a great feeling. This Hawaii Kai location is very convenient as it's located in the Park and Ride parking lot which is a very decent size which obviously makes it easy to swing by for a quick drop off. The staff there is amazing and ready to take your items and provide you with a receipt as well to document your items and with Goodwill giving them a new home is a wonderful resource to help more than your personal space. I've been blessed to have traveled to places that excite and gives me the option to shop and with that I try my best to not hold on to items that no longer gives me that purpose and create a lovely tote of donation hoping that it will find new home and purpose to someone else. This donation container is found at Kahala Mall you just need to go to the back side of the mall just below the Queens Urgent Care and there's always a staff there seven days a week happily take your items and is super convenient. Many folks are in need to have items for work, school or just to fill your home and know that every item has it's purpose as long it's useable so to parting with them not only saves it from unnecessarily being dumped but an affordable way to give. Reuse, reduce, and recycle everyday…read more.. not only on Earth Day, April 22, 2024, and everywhere... even in Honolulu, Hawaii... We were in the Kahala area and remembered that there's a small donation center in the covered parking lot by the theater wing of Kahala Mall. Located across the parking lot from Panda Express, it was a quick, convenient drop off. The friendly man asked if we needed a receipt... Yes, please! We will be back!

Donation in Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. I saw this drop-off trailer at Manoa Marketplace the other day. It's located at the Woodlawn Drive entrance of the Marketplace... by Longs Drugs Store. Stacey was the friendly, helpful, efficient worker. She inputted my phone number onto the tablet (after I gave her my bag of goods) and I got my receipt right away - since I'm in the system already. I'll print it out later for tax time. If you want to do a quick Donation in Manoa, this is a convenient place to visit!

Don't get me wrong it's not stuff well in my opinion that's not great or reuseable just items that had been collected over time and this shopaholic does have quite a bit of stuff lol! Luckily the newest Green Drop location is very conveniently located up in Manoa Marketplace in yup Manoa and you can find this massive trailer in the back of the shopping center near Longs. The staff there is very efficient as I walked out of my double parked car since there wasn't any parking close by...she dashed out and grabbed my bag so I didn't really have any pics of it lol! So grateful for convenient spots like this making dropping off donation easy and hoping it does well to help great causes. Thank you!
