I've only had one bad experience out of the 20 times I've shopped here. And it was so bad, my day…read morewas ruined and over some stupid toys that were in a bin for 5/$1. I guess the lady at the register was having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. Treated me like I was a scammer or liar. It wasn't worth the argumentative and contemptuous reaction we received and it was my daughter's first time coming. My mother is in a wheelchair and the 3 of us were having a wonderful afternoon until that woman ruined our vibe. Of course, I was correct about the sale but she just didn't believe me and wouldn't take the time to walk over there and verify. A manager came over because I was getting upset at the way I was being talked to. If you raise your voice to me, oh... you will get back what you're dishing out. Anyways, whatever! Ridiculous Now with that out of the way, CSS is my favorite thrift shop. It's nice knowing that the profits help families and the community after emergency situations and it's a lot cleaner than a lot of other thrift stores. If you have boujee friends, they have a boutique section with more upscale and newer things. I, personally go straight to the $1 racks(and I always find something!) and their bin sales. I've found 2 Calvin Klein dresses(at different times) on the $1 racks. But I've bought things from every section they have. They even put out free stuff by the entrance/exit. I'm too old for prom dresses, but they have a lot of beautiful gowns and evening dresses for cheap. If you're low on cash and need a gorgeous wedding dress, look here first. You won't regret it! But the customer service is(with the exception of that one day) great. They do have paid employees but they depend on their volunteers to keep inventory flowing. Even the volunteers have been helpful to me when I need to plug in an appliance or try out some furniture. Although they won't help load or deliver. Just be prepared if you're buying large items. One more thing. If your cell phone has CASHAPP, they have a rewards program that you can use for a discount and CASHAPP keeps up with the points. I didn't sign up for it until after I'd spent over $100 and I kept coming back. So, I missed out on those points.

They are constantly putting new stock out and I've acquired everything from kitchen appliances to nice work clothes, vintage jewelry.and accessories, decorative items, linens, and sporting goods. They have it all. Like any thrift store, their stock changes and depends on what is donated, so checking in frequently will be your best bet to find the items you need. The prices are excellent for a thrift store these days. Clothing items tend to be around $2.50, as do shoes. Accessories are also inexpensive. They charge a bit more for the luxury items that come through and jewelry is priced on a case by case basis, but they never gouge you. You can always find gems here. I highly recommend shopping here and donating as it benefits the community. They are known for accepting vouchers to help low-income and people in need get work clothes and school clothes for kids. I've included some.images of items I've purchased here. You can find quality clothing items here that will last you a long time. They also have a huge bin of cheap clothes like t-shirts and shorts suitable for outdoor work and here's where you can find clothes for kids that won't break the bank. It takes time to shift through the bins but at such a. Cheap price it often pays off.

It used to be Hancock Fabrics. Now I will be forthright and let you know this is a no frills place. Of course you shouldn't expect money to be spent on lighting or other bric-a-brac when the business is an extension of Habitat for Humanity (a non-profit). What sets this store apart from others is after you venture through the usual stuff (furniture, books, CD's, glasses, etc.), the other half is focused on home repairs/supplies. There are washers and dryers here, but also vents and pipes and bolts and a number of items you might need to fix and/or add on to the home. The pricing across the board is amazing. That day I walked out with a office chair (see the uploaded picture) for only $5. It is gently used and is very comfortable. Stop in today and remember, every purchase supports Habitat for Humanity. *Insider's Tip -Take the time to comb through the CD's and tapes. There are some classics in there, most for only $1.
