I actually forgot my wallet and I thought she might keep it for me until I could return on Wednesday. She had none of that. Really? Also I found a framed piece of wall art that I fell in love with but there was no price on it. I understand that they were very busy but the cashier was extremely rude. Told her there was no price tag but I wanted to buy it. She replied that she couldn't sell it without a price tag and the managers were busy. I then asked her to put a note on it and have someone call me when they had a price. She said that she couldn't do that either. There are many other thrift shops in the area with better deals. I won't be back.

This is one of the best Goodwill stores I have been to. I've gotten some really wonderful things here from clothes to holiday and home decor as well as electronic appliances. Items are in good condition and the items like shirts and bottoms are in color order. Great experience and I highly recommend coming here. I really want to give a shout out to one of the workers there - a white male who is a bit husky. He rang my items up and told me "you know you have about $20 in perks you can use". I was shocked. As many times as I have come into different Goodwill stores, no one had told me I had free cash to use. I thanked him greatly and he told me "this is what should be told to you ever time you purchase from Goodwill". I now ask for my balance when purchasing items. Thank you Goodwill in Orland Park!

Firstly, what I really enjoy about this Goodwill that I always try to find at other locations is that it has a restroom and a fair amount of changing rooms. This is one of the busiest Goodwill locations that we have ever been to and I reviewed a lot of Goodwill locations! It's almost like Black Friday inside. Staff here was friendly and courteous and plenty of mine was will be replenished as quickly as they were taken off the shelves. Fair selection of men's clothing though I didn't find too much for myself. Great selection of picture frames and wall hangings as well. Prices here are actually pretty modest on a good majority of the items. Overall, I thought this was a solid location check out lines can't be very long

I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep things organized all day, especially at a store like this, but a lot of the shelves are so full of stuff that it's almost impossible to look at everything. I'm always surprised by the audacity some people have to donate these things in the first place, but the audacity of Goodwill to actually sell this junk is... off the charts! So many things are overpriced. I didn't find the organization of the women's clothing to be super intuitive, though eventually I was able to find two blouses for work. If you're browsing clothes, please pay super close attention to the item's condition. So many things are stained or pilled or just overall nasty. But the employees are kind and the checkout process was easy!

I've visited many Salvation Army stores throughout Chicagoland, but this location has been by far…read morethe most unwelcoming and problematic. Beyond the disorganization and extremely high prices, the most troubling issue is how customers are treated, especially those who are African American, Hispanic, or simply appear as if they don't belong in the eyes of the staff. There is a repeated pattern of racial profiling and false accusations. I've personally witnessed several incidents where African American customers were followed around the store, accused of switching price tags without cause, and treated with clear suspicion. In one incident, a young woman held clothes up to herself over her outfit to see if they would fit, since there is no dressing room. A staff member immediately accused her of trying to steal. That level of hostility is completely inappropriate. This is a thrift store, not a high-security facility. Ironically, most of the staff are minorities themselves, primarily Hispanic women who have worked there for many years. Yet they continue to target their own community, along with African American customers, creating an environment of constant judgment and control. One particular woman, who has been there the longest, insists on always being at the register and refuses to let anyone else take that position. That kind of control is concerning, especially when it seems to be tied to who gets followed, accused, or mistreated. On a personal note, I experienced this behavior when visiting with my boyfriend, who is African American and a practicing attorney. He was followed through the store and accused of altering a price tag, with absolutely no evidence. When we raised our concerns to staff, we were completely brushed off. In addition to the unacceptable treatment of customers, I believe the Salvation Army should conduct a full audit of this location. The prices are far beyond what is reasonable for a secondhand store, and there are real concerns about whether items are being priced and tracked appropriately. The way some employees behave, it is as if they are personally losing money. There is no other explanation for the level of aggression and defensiveness we have seen from them. This store does not reflect the values the Salvation Army promotes. The staff operate in a culture of suspicion and blame, treating people especially minority shoppers as if they are criminals rather than individuals simply looking for affordable clothing and household items. I sincerely urge Salvation Army leadership to investigate this location thoroughly. What is happening here is not only unacceptable, it is harmful to the very communities the organization is meant to serve.
