I have always donated to this location. But after how they treated me recently, I am not going there ever again. I am going to a Salvation Army who treat their customers and people who donate better with respect. I went there on the last week of July and I always go there to donate,as I went and got the stuff out of my car to donate this lady screamed at me instead of talking normal. She said "no pillows!!"but was screaming which I thought it was super rude and I said OK do you at least have a garbage can that I can throw it away and then she again proceeded to scream at me and said no we don't have any and I said OK fine I'm never coming back again. Then, after that happen, I found a Salvation Army by Copans and the train tracks and the gentleman who I donated my stuff to was super nice respectful and was helpful as well. I didn't even have to get my things out of the car he went and helped me. The Deerfield Beach site shows that they accept books but when I got there they refused to take my books even though the books were all like new condition.They told me that they have too many books and would not accept mine. I tried to call them on the phone but they do not answer their line. I suggest that you do not waste your time with Goodwill take your donations to the Salvation Army, they accepted my books. read more

This was a "just okay" goodwill. The first one in quite a while that we have been to recently that didn't have a greeter by the door (some take temps) or a bottle of hand sanitizer. There were a lot of clothes. And a large display of Halloween related items (not sure they will be as in demand this year in the time of Covid). The books and cds area was tiny. I love Good Will stores. I remember when we lived in Sarasota, there was a Good Will that was HUGE, had used appliances, lots of furniture, fabulous. This one is great as well, although small, it has occasional great finds that can save you a lot of money. If you're a fan of vintage, come every once in a while to see what's come on to the shelves, especially in the back with the glass and knick-knacks. Here's a tip...if you have a lot of mismatched pots and pans and lids, bring in what doesn't fit and look in the back for what does. We now have perfectly fitting lids and pans for just a few dollars, instead of throwing away mismatched pairs and having to buy brand new. Every dollar counts these days. Of course, you have to hunt through the clothes racks for the proper sizes of clothes, but you can find stuff that you'll treasure if you take the time. Viva Good Will! read more

I am a thrift store aficionado. This literally might be one of the worst thrift stores I have ever been in. The selection is uninteresting, and the prices are absolutely outrageous, (so bad that I actually downloaded Yelp just to make this review after not using it for over a year). A small ashtray was $10. A cheap large poster that was framed was $150. I have never been so mad at a thrift store for being so greedy. I don't know why there's nothing of value on the shelves, no collectibles, nothing. I highly suspect these donations are gone through very well in the back and never make it out to the front. I am going to call corporate about this store as there should be fair and reasonable pricing on used items. I actually saw something that was marked a dollar from the store and they marked it $2.99. I like to come in during the month of October to check out their Halloween selection. They offer a lot of cheap costumes as well as decor. It is always fun to check out what they have. This store seems to have more of a selection than most. They had a an amazing animal print ballgown that would be perfect for a masquerade ball. In additional to seasonal items they carry clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, books, bric a brac, and a limited amount of furniture. Prices are cheap and you never know what you'll find. This Goodwill is expensive. Everything is priced differently. One shirt can be 8... then another shirt can be 12. Jackets are almost always $20 or higher. I stopped going here. This is used clothing! I can go to Marshals for new clothes with this pricing. read more

Great and reasonably priced finds. Nice store atmosphere and friendly staff. Unique and interesting items.

I used to really like this store but the pricing has got out of hand. There are sets of pajamas and sets of cups sold separately to make more money.. but at those prices you can go to TJMAXx and Marshalls for brand new items. When I asked if they would do a discount for the set they said no. There is also a used / empty Voss water bottle for sale for $6. You can go to seven 11 down the street and buy the same bottle WITH water in it for $3. Bummer about this place because they could flip inventory much faster and still make profit if they were reasonable. read more

Nice staff! And very large facility. But the clothing is SO UNORGANIZED. In the small section there will be extra larges. Found a few cute pairs of shorts. On my way to the dressing room I saw a beautiful pair of ed hardy shorts, IN MY SIZE!! But why am I finding an XS pair of shorts in the maternity aisle? Not worth the trip. Junky stuff and books were way overpriced. Clothes for women stated a certain price (like $3) and up. I have shopped thrift stores for years and this kind of pricing is misleading. Three dollars gets you excessively worn clothing while normal used clothing is priced similar to regular retail. Perhaps the location assumes everyone has money. I shop Margate and Coral Springs Goodwill and Women in Distress and get better items and better value. One of the cleanest, most organized goodwills I have ever been to. There wasn't a ridiculous amount of clothes squeezed onto the racks to deter me from even bothering to try like the Goodwills in Tampa. On top of that it had some pretty good steals. The staff was friendly and I love that they are making an effort to reduce plastic bag waste by charging $1 for a bag. I always bring reusable ones so it was no issue for me. My only complaint was that not everything was tagged so I was not able to do my pre-checkout totaling to make my final decisions. Other than that, it was an afternoon well spent. read more

The bright lights and the glitz (yes in a thrift store) didn't really impress me. This location is right where the old Walgreens used to be and I think is relatively new. It doesn't have the smell of funk and bad cheese permeating through the air at least (well for now) so a nice smelling store where you can breathe through your nose is always welcome. The goods are pretty organized and they have some terrific labels but waaaaaay overpriced. I'm all for helping the needy but cmon, seven bones for a non-label purse that has some wear n tear? Stopped into this Good Will at 7:30pm tonight. What a sad looking store with lack luster representatives who do not embody the name "Good Will". I took my time and brought 4 items to the dressing room at 8pm. Mind you they close at 9pm. An older woman with grey stringy hair looked at me and said "the dressing rooms are closed". I said, "It's 8pm, aren't you open until 9pm?".... she barely looked at me and said again 2 more times "The dressing rooms are closed". I asked "why?", again she said "The dressing rooms are closed". I said calmly.. "I'm going into this dressing room to try on these 4 items", and that's what I did. When I came out she was nowhere to be found. I read another review where someone was told the dressing rooms close at 8:30pm and they wouldn't let her in to try on 1 item. Who is making the rules and overseeing this Good Will store? Isn't this supposed to be helping the needy through making sales? I got the impression from the dressing room rep she didn't care and just wanted to go home. Since our recent downsize and our kids out of the house. We decided to donate clothing that were no longer being worn. We stopped by the Goodwill in Deerfield. They have an area to drop off your donations. The staff are very polite and everything is organized rather than just thrown around. Since I love looking for antiques and old treasures, I made my way into the actual store. To be honest, I was impressed. It was clean and didn't have a musty thrift store smell. Everything was organized in racks and they even had new ladies items with tags attached. They have dressing rooms and friendly staff helping out customers. They have a great selection of books which I picked out a couple. Clean items and on certain days there's discounts of the tag price which is great. I will be back read more

Clean and somewhat organized. What I mean by "somewhat" organized is that the racks the clothes are hung on and the prices listed on that rack are incorrect and very misleading. A juniors for teen girls shirt (forever 21 brand) hanging in the men's T-shirts for $.99 ended up being $7 and the lady at the register could've cared less. My daughter and I figured since it was a "T-shirt" perhaps they thought it was a men's but we assumed it would still be $.99 because it was in-fact an oversized, used, simple T-shirt but it was $7. For those of you who don't know you can get a brand new shirt at forever 21 for $7 and under so pricing is ridiculous and way too high for a used clothes. The store is well organized and there's lots of merchandise, BUT, the items are WAY OVERPRICED! There's one colored tag on sale each week, and you'd be hard pressed to find an item with that color tag. What's very annoying is that they don't have " price tags" . They have a plastic colored string on everything and they write the price ON THE ITEM IN MARKER! They ruin so many items this way, especially clothing. I stopped by here prior to moving to tampa bay so i could donate lots of clothes that were new and still had tags but didnt fit. Where I went to hand it in sort of looked like a mess of bags on the floor. The guy was really nice and even gave me a slip which apparently could count towards my fiancés taxes (don't know much about that). Afterwards I went to check out their merchandise (since I had never been inside a real thift shop before). I was just browsing out of curiosity and a FEW were good finds. This reminded me of Marshalls but I still prefer marshalls. I still don't discard the possibility of buying at a thrift shop, quite the opposite... Exetremely rude female manager and cashier. I have been to this location 3 times and each time I tell myself just give them a chance because of the rudeness at the register. But today, was the final straw. As we all know this weekend is tax free and clothing purchases should not be taxed. However the female Manager at the register refused to comply with the sign they had up at the register stating what the Florida Revenue department has as a public form. When I asked why I was being charged tax she said it's only on kids clothes and I explained that the document they have up at the registers states all clothing under $60. She refused to remove the taxes and told my mother and I "do you know how to read!" as she pointed to the sign. This obviously struck a nerve with us and we asked to speak to a different manager. All the customers in line began stating that we are not supposed to be charged tax now but she just said "sign Mami and go" I watched the people before, being charged tax as well. So this means that the Goodwill has been collecting tax on all purchases that qualify for tax exemption this weekend and not to mention we all got to be treated as imbeciles as well when questioning things that don't make sense. I had been to other Goodwill locations before coming here and I was treated with respect and I was not charged tax, because the cashiers at other locations reminded me that it is a tax exempt weekend. Bottom line if you want to be treated poorly and charged extra then come to this location! read more

Yay for Bargains! I don't know about you but I love the thrill of the chase. Yes, you basically have to sift through racks and racks of clothes because there are so many choices. The store itself is clean, nicely lit, organized. They have a separate juniors section which is heaven to me! The jeans are organized in such a way that you can see the name brand and back pockets. Everything on the rack looks almost new if not brand new, what more can you want? This is the best Goodwill in the area, it's HUGE and I had a great time shopping! read more
