BTW: Interweb is handy, big fan of filling out the standard forms and stuff ahead of time when I have time. So much prefer doing this at home, plus a person can prepay for services online. First visit went pretty well: Doctor Bailey was pleasant enough, attentive, and seems a decent sort. If everything goes well with my blood work I'll be back in six months. That isn't likely to happen after a year of not working in or out... Surprise! Four days after the Huntersville City Barbeque hurricane party -n- Yelp event my labs came back a little off: SatFat and cholesterol were about 1000cc/liter plus smokey goodness. After some whining and explaining Dr B agreed to a mulligan so I got do-over appointment for the day after the Amelie's + PIC Made in Charlotte event!? Have to start doing manual yard work and eating less badly, less often, and just plain less... Labs came back "normal" somehow. Yea!

From the owner: Blue Skies is revolutionizing healthcare with an innovative Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice…read moremodel that improves healthcare quality while reducing costs. Essentially, we remove the "middle man" (insurance companies) which drives up medical costs and often, drives medical decisions. Because we don't work with insurance companies, we keep costs low and pass the savings on to you. More importantly, we offer healthcare that focuses on you and your needs-not the needs of a third party. How does Direct Primary Care work? Instead of charging you per office visit and billing an insurance company, we charge a monthly (or annual) membership fee that covers your primary medical care including office visits and most procedures. It's the ideal plan for people with no insurance or high insurance deductibles or those who want to control healthcare expenses. Also, because we're a smaller practice, we will only treat a limited number of patients so your office visits last 30- to 45-minutes. During this time, you are not limited to one or two medical concerns because your physician is on a tight schedule. This accessibility keeps patients healthier and leads to better informed healthcare decisions.

Not on the phone when I made the appointment nor in the paperwork they provided when I arrived!! We were taken to an exam room, where the nurse asked if we were current on all vaccines and I said she wasn't. The nurse said the provider would not see us if she wasn't fully vaccinated. Then, she left and the front office came in to the exam room and asked us to leave. They escorted my 14 year old daughter out of the exam area!! No questions on why my daughter wasn't fully vaccinated nor care. If you want to have the opportunity to make these decisions for yourself, and don't want to have your child escorted out of the exam area for not being fully vaccinated to their liking - find another provider.

Brian Jammel saw me and was very empathetic and caring. He recommended a medication and said this would immediately help with the symptoms and make me feel better. He offered a prescription card through Pfizer and said there were times insurance didn't cover the medication and to use this card if I needed it. I really appreciated this because I would not of had the funds to pay out-of-pocket for that medication. As it turned out I needed the card as my insurance did not cover it. So thank you so much for that. Brian was very caring and made sure I didn't have any questions before I left and took very good care of me.  I highly recommend this  urgent care.

They continue to pimp annual physicals which the USPSTF could not justify (palpation as a diagnostic???) and there is still too little concern for patient modesty, opinions and yes, KNOWLEDGE (we read and have access to more peer reviewed journals than ever). If you want a sharp blade to sharpen your own ideas, not sure you'll get it here consistently. Doctors are personable and take time. Willing to handle you on the road. Unfortunately, really hard time taking chronic medications to mail order. Way too conservative on diagnostics (even contradicting FDA guidelines - - eg. hepatic enzyme screens with statins are no longer suggested / required but LFP asks for them any way). Nurses are a random number generator from caring to "let me inflict some immodesty on you" to show you whose boss. The old guard doesn't like the informed patient. Phone service is infuriating. Web scheduling please. Calling to make an appointment is painful. Scheduling lab time is a new one. Getting a blood draw should happen when convenient for me...not one more visit I have to schedule. And when I do, it's STILL always late even when there is NO ONE in the collection area. Really needs a looksee. Receive lab diagnostics with commentary in the mail. 10 thumbs up! Information in motion, making a difference. Timeliness is an issue with MD visits as well. Routinely late. Urgent care for walk-in business (separate from routine and not an excuse for that lateness) is very useful. 3-4 stars. Do your research in advance, have your questions and comments and remember to ask for what you want.
