Do NOT go here! I should've checked yelp before but it was close to my office. I called to see if…read morethey could take six finger stitches out and they said yes. Went in for my visit this morning and the Dr. couldn't see very well and was hurting me. She asked me to raise my hand towards the ceiling lights so she could see my stitches better. I finally recommended she get an extendable light. Her suture removal kit was to large for small tight finger stitches. After working almost fifteen minutes while hurting me she still didn't even have one stitch clipped or out. Tried freeze spray to help numb and then wanted to give me a numbing shot for six stitches. I finally told her enough, walked to the front and demanded a refund. I took the stitches out at home after work in five minutes using only my left hand. Ridiculous!!!

First visit was virtual visit. Been to many docs, after my first visit I'm not convinced that they…read morewill be any better just yet.. they may change my mind I hope.. tired of being passed around. All I can say is I wasn't sure how to read the provider's poker face.. I asked direct questions and got no answered or very indirect answers.. wasn't pleased. I hope next visit goes much smoother. I hope to get answers soon. Nice lady though. She did listen well, just wasn't very responsive other than the basic hooblah questions that are usually asked..

I'm writing this review because I noticed that it's easy to write about a restaurant experience but…read morewe get hesitant to write about other types of experiences and I think doctors visits are very important but more important to go to the right one and someone that is really going to take care of you and not jack you up. So here we go... From the initial scheduling the appointment on the phone to the actual appointment, everyone was kind and seemed to have a genuine interest in my visit. Even though there was 1 technician that was overly nice, almost getting to the weird side, but I think she was just trying to make sure I was comfortable at least that is what I told myself. Since this was my 1st visit with them and getting a mammogram they asked a good bit of questions, which was great. You need to ask the questions in order to know your patient. The visit itself was fast. They took me at my scheduled time, explained thoroughly how the whole process was going to work. During the mammogram you are allowed to keep the gown on, HUGE plus for me. The mammogram was yes uncomfortable at times but not painful. Some of the positions that you have to do to take the images are weird, I felt like I was playing a new version of 'twister' but only with my upper body. Once the testing was done, so was the discomfort and my fancy twister moves. It's not a place I want to rush back to before my scheduled time, but early detection is key. So, since it has to be done why not go to the best.

My provider Dr. Powell is phenomenal, and if I could in this forum, I would give him 5 stars…read more However the staff needs ALOT of training in customer service and people skills. If it was left to them, the practice would lose patients in droves. Jennifer

On the hunt for a pediatrician when we moved to the Queen City and I landed on University…read morePediatrics. I wanted a doctor that I could go to reliably and get my son's check-ins as needed. They assigned us a doctor but truth be told, we never have seen that doctor more than once - maybe twice? I can't even remember now. Our original assigned doctor was okay but I didn't feel that she took the time to get to know our family, my son. And if she was going to be his doctor full time then I wanted a little more attention, more caring, more hands on. Maybe I was spoiled from our previous pediatrician who was so wonderful with my son. Anyways, I digress. So whenever, we had to go back for sick visits or other check-ups, I could never remember the doctor's name and told them it didn't matter who I see. I can get an informal check-up or doctor's visit from any doctor so why does it have to be the same? I know you are wondering if she didn't care for the doctor why is she giving 4 stars? Our original doctor wasn't bad - just didn't give me that family feel I wanted. And all of the other doctors I have seen here are great. They all work well with children. The nurses here are also fantastic. They help and do the grunt work for the doctor. Getting the child in the right mood is most important - they set the tone and they do a great job of it. Anytime my son has been sick and I needed to get him - they have always assisted in getting him in right away. The one time they couldn't for an insect bite - they just told me to go to urgent care. My wait time is minimal. I don't know if I am just lucky here and time my arrival time perfectly with my appointment time but we are never in the waiting area for longer than 15 minutes. I don't know when they added it but they now have a check in Kiosk so if you don't want to talk to person at the desk, I guess you don't have to. But I thrive on human interaction and I prefer to do that. Check out is a breeze as well. My son may get upset when he has to get a shot but when he is rewarded with a sticker and a small dum-dum he leaves just a little bit happier.

We love Dr Higgins and her nurses. Very professional!!!…read moreHowever I know for a fact that she doesn't set her own appointments. The last 3 times we have been here, we saw the doctor an average of 40 minutes later. Yet if a patient arrives 10 minutes late, your appointment is cancelled. Talk of of double standards!! Also the wait area and review rooms is very drab, nothing for the kids to do. Maybe In that case don't keep us waiting. I was not going to write a review, but after talking to the office manager Vickie, I had to. She was not apologetic, made excuses for everything and lacks PR. Worst customer service!! I doubt anything will change because they are clearly not taking any feedback from their patients.
