complete waste of my time and $500 (initial appointment) down the drain…read more a couple weeks before my appointment, I called and spoke with a very nice and know just lady. I advised her that I had 3 ultrasounds collected on my abdomen (external and internal) as I had pain from what I thought was a hernia. they found a mass in my uterus and a 3mm mass on my left kidney. I explained to her that I understand most holistic practices and know how I'd like to approach the issues. I wanted to talk those out with the dr, get her feedback or suggestions and have her monitor the progress. the upping last assured me that would not be an issue. I get to the appointment, pay and spent the next 45 minutes taking with the Dr who did nothing but assume diagnoses even when I said I didn't have certain things (I.e, sleep apnea, lymes disease). she would even write referrals after I said I knew I did not have these issues. I am a 42 year old woman, 5ft 10in, 165 pounds, very active, in the gym 6 days a week. I do not have a tongue tie, weight problem or sleep apnea. My focus is my uterus pain and my kidney. When I tried to talk to her about the issues, I was there for she let me know that she hasn't even looked at the ultrasound reports and wanted to refer me to have it done again. I told her if I was to have anything else done I would prefer an MRI so that we can get a better understanding of what was going on and she said she would would prefer that I just have an ultrasound done, external and internal. I explained again that I already had that done and it was a very in-depth report. She then left the room to go get the reports... They were not even in the file that she had in her hand. when she came back, I told her that I would like to do a parasite cleanse and also monitor my estrogen as I was estrogen dominan which could prompt the growth on my uterus. she said she would not do that and would prefer to look at all the other things that she had mentioned, and was not even concerned about the ultrasound reports that I had done as they may not be correct. She also told me I should get a pap smear...I asked why she would tell me that. She said "it is always good to have your routine check ups" nope. at this point I was intern upset and shut down. She never went into depth about anything concerning my estrogen dominance, my abdominal pain related to what they found on the ultrasound or even my kidney. She was very concerned with me having $2000 worth of referrals and blood work done for things I had already told her I did not need. There's more I could complain about but it just makes me mad. We are a single income family. I homeschool all three of my kids and don't have $500 to throw around so someone can scam me into seeing every friend dr they have for unrelated issues. I walked out of there with absolutely no advise, no attention to my concerns, and 5 referrals that I NEVER called on. However, I get spammed constantly from each one of these doctors offices that she wrote a referral to. They constantly call me, leave messages and text me trying to get me to set up appointments. I have never reached out to any of these doctors so I know she's gave them my contact info without my consent. I have never been spammed from so many doctors offices in my life! I am deeply disappointed....I thought I found someone that would help me through this unexpected health issues and I thought she would encourage and give me hope... honestly could cry every time I think about the $500 waste. this dr might be good for you if you don't know anything about holistic care or if you are new to this world but if you know then please don't waste your time, emotional energy or money.

Dr. Vasquez took excellent care of her while she was having some serious heart episodes. It was late Sunday Easter afternoon when she was discharged along with a script that had to be filled before 9am Monday. I took her home and immediately went to Walmart pharmacy. When the script was ready I was shockingly told it would cost $389 for a month's supply. $389!!!!! She had a generic version for $10 just a year ago!!!! The Pharmacist could not give an alternative for some reason even though Dr. Vasquez wrote that. Anyway my wife put a page in for Dr. Vasquez and he called her back. Late Easter Sunday evening. He was upset with the Pharmacist and asked my to come to his office by 9 the next day. He had left 2 months of the medication for my wife for FREE! Yup, he is now my wife's new cardiologist.

She took such good care of him (I'd be by his hospital bed when she rounded) that when I kept getting sick weekly as a young 20 year old nurse...I decided to go see her. She diagnosed me with lupus right off the bat (unlike the rest). She managed my pretty severe flares over the years, referred me to other great doctors, and over all enhanced my quality of life. As a travel nurse...For the past 15 years I've had the pleasure of working with hundreds if not thousands of doctors...and Dr. Hewitt is one of the best. Her ability to diagnosis..and her real straight approach--combined with her true passion for making a human better is why I love her. She keeps everyone in my family in good health and I love her office staff. Ivy (her nurse practitioner) is smart, warm, and extremely knowledgeable while being warm and easy to talk to. People ask me how did you know you had lupus?? Dr. Hewitt that's how. The other doctors told my mom (my lupus symptoms started at age five) that I just had a different type of skin as a child...that my joint pain was growing pains...then in my teens and early adulthood I was told I was depressed (and I said I'm not sad at all I don't feel good)--the doctor prescribed antidepressants--Labeled as a hypochondriac...Unlike the four doctors in adolescence and childhood Dr. Hewitt told me "You can't fake strep, the flu, and a kidney infection"....and told me this is auto immune...tests came back all confirming she was way right...she has literally saved my life...So having the right primary care doctor is as important as picking out a spouse...for 16 years years I've been seeing Dr. Hewitt along with every person I care about...

She makes me feel very comfortable and I've NEVER felt like she was rushing me out of her office like some psychiatrists do. She's patient, caring and very knowledgable. She is AWESOME!!! OK, so I hope you get the idea that I'm a big fan of this doctor. BUT, I am NOT a fan of her front desk person. She has a very unpleasant personality. In fact, I don't think I have EVER seen her smile. I cannot understand why on earth she is working for a doctor who sees patients who may potentially be mentally-unstable (NOT ME OF COURSE). But seriously, she is very condescending, impatient and unfriendly. It has taken everything in me not to get redheaded on her. I still don't know how I've managed that. Anyway, so I finally decided to complain to my doctor. She was very understanding and appreciated my candor. But CLEARLY, this was something she has heard MANY times before. She apologized profusely. The funny thing is that there were two other ladies in the waiting room and they BOTH feel exactly the same way as I do. So I know it's not me being too sensitive. I find this at a lot of doctor's offices: I love the doctors but not the staff. I'm hoping that Dr. Allbritton will eventually hire a more pleasant person for her front desk because she is going to lose patients (if she hasn't already!). I told her that too. It's a shame.

She's not one for small talk or pleasantries but she knows what she's doing and has a great response time to emails! I'm so extremely grateful to Dr. Koh for being so throrough, detailed, and meticulous with recording so much info for my chart & my case. I'll forever be eternally grateful to her for the official diagnosis so I could finally begin the first steps of applying for disability. She's highly knowledeable, compassionate, and is genuinely interested in helping her patients find the best solution possible for their ailments. She is a relatively young Dr., but somehow she knows more than doctors who are twice her age!! She graduated from med school from the University Toronto, which I feel is a great advantage because American med schools don't seems to teach hardly anything about super-rare diseases (at least not about the one that I have, which affects roughly 1 out of about every 100,000). If you feel that you're suffering from a rare disease & are hoping for some answers, Dr. Koh is by far the best, most knowledgeable doctor to go see. I spent nearly 30 years of going to specialists, only to be left without a single answer. All the other doctors would never listen & would all always blow me off, so after about ten years of trying, I gave up all hope for over 20 years regarding seeking help from specialists until it became critical for me to start seeking to apply for disability. Dr. Koh is the only doctor who I've ever seen who actually genuinely cares about helping me with my disease & who actually listens to me & who treats me with compassion, dignity & respect!! By far the best specialist I've ever seen, and I've seen my share of doctors off and on going way back to 1997!!
