Sam is the BEST. The only guy I trust to take my personal and business photos. His photos are honest, not overblown or fake. I've used others and just can't use anyone else at this point. He's been taking my photos for 7 years in a row (I do them annually) -- Also, his sessions are very relaxed and not as "set up" as some photographers so... his process allows for more better and representative photos. Highly Recommend!! read more

Sam was super accommodating and expedited a professional photo for me. We shot at his house in a studio in the back. Although the requirements for my shot were a little odd, Sam used photoshop to make sure everything matched the specs requested. He's not only a great photographer but also a really nice dude. The experience working with Sam Diephuis was AMAZING. I'm over-the-moon excited about my photos!!! The goal of my photoshoot was to create Hero Imagery for my website. I'm in an investor in startup companies + consultant working on establishing my personal brand. The biggest difference working with Sam was just how comfortable he made me feel. I've never been particularly photogenic... and often feel uncomfortable being in front of the camera. Sam is so personable & easy going. His demeanor made me super comfortable - to the point that I almost forgot my picture was being taken. We did the photoshoot in Downtown LA. Sam kept us walking from location-to-location to capture TONS of different looks (i.e. exposed brick, cool metal backgrounds, street art, etc). The crew was really nimble & efficient (Sam + assistant + hair/makeup) - allowing us to fully maximize our time together. Over the course of the shoot, we took more than 2,000 photos. Afterwards, Sam helped me select the best ones. I left the experience with 10 INCREDIBLE photos + an additional 15-20 images that I'm excited to share on social media. If you're looking to build out your personal brand, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Sam Diephuis & Good Human!!! read more

I've never had headshots before, and know nothing about the procedure, but Sam made it really easy from the beginning. He made his schedule flexible to be able to fit me in for both dating profile pictures and more professional head shot pictures. The pictures came out great. I don't know how he does it (it seems kinda like magic), but I'm pretty sure Sam can make anyone look good. On top of being a great photographer, Sam is also I dare say, a Hella Goodhuman. read more

Sam is seriously the coolest most professional photographer I've ever worked with (and I've worked with a couple) he's so clear with his direction and doesn't make you feel rushed ! Showed up on time he said it would take about 2hrs for the shoot and he was right on time ... positively motivated and coached me to look like the best version of myself ! Didn't feel nervous at all he makes you feel so comfortable and beautiful ! Thank you Sam for again making my visions come alive and hopefully gravitate lots of NEW CLIENTS !!!!! Will recommend him in a heartbeat to anybody who wants to look their BEST!!!!! read more

I needed a professional headshot done but I'm also the kind of person who hates and dread having pictures taken. Sam of GoodHuman Photography was amazing! I felt completely comfortable and at ease from the moment I met him. Sam was able to capture my personality and the photos look natural and not at all forced. Color me surprised - I actually had fun during the photo shoot! Aside from just being a good human, Sam's an awesome photographer and works magic with his camera. Highly recommended! read more

We worked with Sam for images of our team and facilities. He went beyond expectations and delivered the most wonderful photos. All of the people he photographed said he was great to work with and he made them feel comfortable when camera shy. Highly recommend him for any and all photo projects that need a highly skilled photographer! read more

I am the world's most camera shy person, thus a terrible subject. That didn't stop Sam from getting great shots of me, though. First, he made me feel very comfortable and distracted me with conversation and before I knew it the shoot was over and I had survived. This guy is practically a magician and my husband and I both really enjoyed the conversation with Sam too. read more

Sam of Good Human Photography was great. We scheduled an initial session with several executives in our office. My husband and I had our professional photos taken by Sam and couldn't be happier and have enjoyed the process more. His work is beautiful and because he's so talented it's a relaxed and easy experience. My husband HATES having his picture taken and he said he actually likes the pictures a lot and that it was fun. This speaks VOLUMES!!! Sam is a delight and we will always always always hire him in the future. I think it's beneficial to know that I was not asked to write any review, but I loved working with him so much that I felt his talents should be shared. Another tip we had Crystal at www. golden-glow-beauty.com do the makeup and she is INCREDIBLE! read more

I contacted him through his website and he responded right away, and then fit me in at very short notice to accommodate my schedule and need to have a quick turnaround. He made the experience fun and easy (for someone who hasn't every had formal headshots taken and isn't the most comfortable in front of the camera). I LOVED the pictures and he edited them quickly and beautifully. Great experience. He has my highest recommendation! read more

All I can do is rave about Sam and GoodHuman photography. Sam got in touch with me immediately, was very flexible with his schedule, made me totally comfortable, did an amazing job with my photos and charged a very reasonable price. Sam has a masterful command of camera technology to make the most of lighting, the environment, and his subjects' characteristics - that much you can plainly see from his work product. What you can't see, and what is a huge factor in the great results he produces, is how not only easy, but actually fun he and his crew is to work with. I first met Sam and his crew when they did on-site headshots at my law firm. Sam has an unassuming and easy going personality that puts people at ease such that after chatting for a minute or two, he was able to get on camera genuine, hearty smiles out of stodgy and stressed out attorneys. Headshot day went from being a chore to a nice and fun respite from work. I then hired Sam to do a shoot of my five year old son and me, and that went awesome. We met at a park and it was more like hanging out with a friend than a professional photo shoot. He promptly provided me with the results and worked quickly and easily with me to perfect the shots I wanted. I recommend Sam as your first call for any professional photography needs. read more

I highly recommend GoodHuman Photography, not only is Sam super nice and friendly to work with, but he is a true professional, and does great work. Sam was the first to call me back after contacting several photographers, and I'm glad we went with him. Not only were the pictures better than expected of our house, but they were edited and delivered the same day as our shoot. I've worked with a lot of photographers and never received finished photos so fast. Can't say enough good things about GoodHuman! read more

Sam of Good Human is the best! I've used him on several occasions and each time he's delivered exceptional photos. He's professional, easy to work with, and an all around great guy. Sam does a great job. He arrived on time, has a wonderful personality (I Hate being photographed and he made it painless and got me to chill out a little about the whole process) and knows photography. I needed a few good "professional shots" for my work, and he delivered. I highly recommend Sam! I'm in Orange County, not Paris as the profile suggests. read more

Unbelievable work, and a ridiculously easy & enjoyable experience. My wife and I were looking to furnish a new home with some large travel prints when we came upon Sam's stuff online. The imagery speaks for itself so there were no concerns there, but what ultimately stuck with us was the experience. Knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, Sam listened to the types of imagery we were after (at a high level) and from there he was able to recommend several different types of images that we might be interested in. Many of his recommendations became our final picks. We live across the country in Boston so there were probably easier local routes we could have taken but Sam made the whole process fun and seamless. He was accessible, responsive and extremely diligent in working with us on even the minor details. First class experience throughout. We've now had the prints up for several months and while we've been loving the images, the reaction from guests has surprised even us. People love his work. First thing they ask about when they're in a room with one of the prints. Couldn't be happier with our decision to use Sam--we recommend you do the same! read more
