Disappointed. I went to Chris for assistance with a serious financial issue concerning debt and…read morethe IRS. Had my initial consultation and he said he could help. Retained Chris. The bankruptcy process was long and arduous. Not a great deal of communication between us during to process. We started it in March and in July our paperwork was filed with the court. Okay so far, nothing really bad going on. Except, it was revealed to me that he himself was in bankruptcy for very much the same reason we were. That was until we had our initial hearing with the bankruptcy court. My debt was over the debt ceiling for the State of Oregon. Isn't this something that a bankruptcy attorney should know? Of course it is. After the hearing, our calls were not taken and only an email showed up. Need to research the problem. That is it. Meeting with him a week later, it was explained that he knew the debt ceiling and was hoping that the bankruptcy trustee would overlook the amount of debt I had since he slid another client through who exceeded the debt ceiling. My case was nothing but a gamble for him. He was rolling the dice with my financial future, my house and my life. I was then told after liens we placed on my house to come back and we could move forward. Fast forward. Contacted Chris. Provided a lien report for my home and. my current pay information. Weeks went by. Nothing. Followed up. Was told that he had not been able to get to it. Followed up again and this time, was kicked to the curb. Was told that he wouldn't be able to get to me for several weeks and that he was swamped with other work. I had hoped that after the massive fuck up with the filing of my case and the debit ceiling we ran into that our case might have gotten a little more attention. I now have a bankruptcy on my credit, having to. try to recover from the devastating credit advice, and still have issues with the IRS and liens on my house and no relief to show for it. DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY.

Chris was incredibly helpful explaining things to me, he stuck by me for months while I was asking questions, before I even filed. Finally when I was ready to file he made it VERY affordable and guided me along the way with each and every step. I would recommend anyone who is considering a Bk to see him, he will not pressure you and is very good at what he does. The level of attention he provides is also phenomenal. Some of these lawyers you can never get a hold of, he responds to me same day almost every single time. Thank you Chris for helping me get my life back. omid

He was facing a lawsuit from a former employee, and the company initially refused to indemnify him, attempting to make him personally responsible for actions that were clearly taken within the scope of his role. From the beginning, the firm was incredibly detailed, professional, and diligent. They worked hard to advocate on his behalf and ultimately helped ensure that the company stepped up and took responsibility as it should have. Throughout the process, they kept us well-informed, explained all possible outcomes, and made sure we understood each step along the way. We truly appreciated their thoroughness, responsiveness, and commitment to achieving the right outcome. The case was handled efficiently and within a reasonable timeframe, which made a stressful situation much more manageable. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone in need of strong, knowledgeable, and compassionate legal representation.

Let me start out stating I was referred to Edward Fu, atty. In August of 2014. I had spent the…read moreprior 8 years caring for my very ill mother, while trying to maintain a full-time career, as well as, attempting to prevent myself from racking up a ton of debt in the process. This did not happen, and I was not proud of it. From the first interaction with Edward, I felt at ease. At no point did I feel judged, persuaded or pressured in any way. He provided me with a clear picture of my options (bankruptcy options), and a kind understanding of my situation. I was in no situation to be able to pay for a bankruptcy in full at that time, so I placed a small retainer, and continued to make payments as I could, once I had made all the payments we would proceed. Little did I know, this was the beginning of a professional relationship that would continue in the future. Jan 2015, I had a surgery that came with multiple complications, as well as, an inability to proceed as I had originally anticipated. Edward continued to remain patient, kind, understanding, and never pressuring. He was still willing to work with me, within my abilities. Fast forward.... To March 22nd, 2018. My family member had passed away, leaving myself, as well as, other family members listed as heirs to his estate. Shortly (within 8 days) of his passing, I was feeling stressed with excessive pressure to get representation, due to the extremely hostile nature of and developing status of the estate. Immediately, my mind went to Edward and our previous interactions. I was now the young age of 30, with no experience dealing with an Estate, Probate, or Inheritance issues, let alone - certain if representation was necessary. To top this off, I was listed as an heir in the company of estranged family. This was the perfect recipe for turbulent waters ahead. From the moment I reached out to Edward, he provided the most exceptional representation I could have asked for! I'm not positive exactly how may estate cases he had completed prior to mine, but I know this one was a doozie. The hostility from all 3 parties, communications between lawyers, cautious disclosure of information as not to disclose anything that could be used adversely against me, the list goes on.... Edward advocated for me conservatively and cautiously, he wasn't at all after the financial gain an estate of this nature could promise, he was beyond tactful when addressing issues of a sensitive nature (while still protecting my best interest), and communicated fully with me along the way. Not one issue, item, or situation was addressed or resolved without my knowledge. If Edward didn't have the answer, he wasn't afraid to admit this, but would quickly respond with a thorough detailed knowledge of my options, the circumstances, and different scenarios after he had researched the issue of concern. I cannot explain the level of genuine concern and care he has with his clients. His high level of tact and grace. Compassion and understanding. While maintaining the highest level of professionalism & representation. I have been truly blessed to be guided to Edward Fu in multiple times of stress, frustration, and anxiety. Everything happens for a reason, and I can say I'm very thankful!

I was referred to this firm specifically to assume representation for both my workers' compensation…read moreclaim and my employment termination matter. The referral was presented as a coordinated transfer to a larger firm capable of handling overlapping injury and employment law issues. This was not a general inquiry, it was intended to be a formal case handoff. When I contacted the office, staff appeared unfamiliar with my case and unaware of any referral communication. I was treated as a new cold inquiry rather than a client whose matter was being transferred. There was no evidence that case materials had been reviewed or that any attorney-to-attorney coordination had occurred prior to my outreach. The intake interaction was rushed and dismissive, with no meaningful attempt to gather background details or establish continuity of representation. Given the complexity and seriousness of combined workers' compensation and termination matters, this lack of preparation and professionalism was concerning. Being terminated while actively managing a workplace injury places clients in a particularly vulnerable position. In that context, proper referral handling and internal communication are essential. My experience reflected a breakdown in both. I would strongly advise prospective clients to confirm in writing that referrals are formally accepted, files are transferred, and case reviews have occurred before relying on this firm for representation.
