The first few weeks were hard (mostly for me), but the teachers and staff at Shalom made the transition process seamless. After 10 months at Shalom, I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. The safety precautions they have in place ease my mind each day when I drop Jack off; and the joyful squeal of "school" or "April" (his teacher's name) as we pull up in front of the building lets me know how much Jack enjoys his days there. His teachers have taught him to say "more" in sign language, to draw and paint, to sing and dance to a variety of kids songs, and to play nicely with his friends. Shalom is a warm and caring environment - from the top down. The Directors, Michele and Providence, are warm and welcoming and clearly care about all of the Shalom families. Not only do they run the school incredibly well, but they have given me parenting tips. If you are looking for an amazing experience for you and your children, Shalom is definitely the right place.

The day we visited Ms. Dawn's for the first time we were happy to witness one of the teachers affectionately hugging one of the kids while the whole class was singing the "I love you" song and I was happy to know he would initially be in her class. He has since then graduated to nursery and I am amazed by how much he has learned and how eager he is to continue to learn. I am a working mom who unfortunately only got 12 week maternity leave. Dropping your 3 month baby off a day care is stressful. I knew from day one they were in good hands with Margarita and her staff. They treat each and every child with so much care and are on top of all the rules and codes to ensure safety. My eldest is 7 and my youngest is 4 and just left to enter PreK. The amount of preparation they have going into structured school is unbelievable. They both still talk about visiting Margaritas constantly as she has become family and we would never miss a Holiday party where many kids come back to see everyone.

Learn and Play Levittown was also awarded Best Dar Care on Long Island beating off big corporate day cares with deep packets and a HUGE franchise behind them so that alone is a true testament to the great job they are doing! Organic food served daily. Extremely flexible and the cost is phenomenal! I would have more kids just to be able to send them to Learn and Play Levittown.
