I got a call on 10/14 to confirm my appointment so I did. A few hours later I get another call asking me to "clarify" what my appointment type was, which was weird but I call back anyway and talk to the receptionist. She said my stylist was concerned about the appointment time and starts to ask questions about my hair. The very long length of my hair was not a deterrent to the time only once she heard that my hair is textured that she said she didn't actually have time to do my hair and had to cancel my appointment. I know for a fact when you go to a reputable cosmetology school they teach you how to deal with many types and textures of hair. If Arati B. is considered an elite stylist by Ulta Beauty standards but can't simply blow out 3B hair... what does that say about the company as a whole. So now I have even MORE lotion (I have too much; it's a problem) in some really nice, subtle scents. Evan Healy is another brand that they have, which I have never tried but have heard about for years. They also sell scarves, blankets, jewelry, candles, and so on. They had some really delicious salted caramels when I was in so I bought a few of the individual pieces. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in Galena! Shopkeepers are really friendly too. There are a couple of steps to enter the store, so accessibility could be tricky.

For instance, we purchased the incredible Lavender hand soap in a classy brown-glass container and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We brought it back with us for their wonderful $10 refill deal. Some other staples include high quality candles, organic soap bars, decadent hand-creams, and luxurious lotions! Galena apothecary introduced me to the Sea Aster hand creme which I now swear by. I always have a travel size in my pocket! Some other amazing purchases have included candles inspired by different scents found in national parks and a Rosebud Apothecary keychain (yay Schitt's Creek references). The staff are always kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They've helped me get connected with the best products for me.
