I was raised at my current place twice in the first 3 months. So I looked around and found bearcat…read morea good value. So I reserved a unit with a deposit. Then before I was to move in I found that they had no "local office". I paid someone overseas. So o started asking questions and this is a business who does business in a (what I consider) a shady fashion. The management and business owners hide from their customers and basically the only contact with any employees is in line. That would not divulge who the owners or parent company was, would not provide any direct phone numbers, names other than the people at their answering service. There is a help email but again no person behind the email and again the only people calling back were their calling service. No one who could answer any questions. And I never got answers to the email I sent about their business or practices other than how to pay. These days, I refuse to do business with these businesses hiding from their customers. It smells of a crooked business. And a way to be totally ripped of in many ways I spent a week trying to get a hold of someone other that the answering service but could not. Meanwhile the storage place I was already in kept me at the level I took their storage unit originally in Jan. So I decided to stay with them, and cancel the unit at Bearcat. For the following reasons. 1) they are a business that does not like to deal with their customers. 2) their was lighting around the place and a couple cameras, but who knows if they are real or monitored for sure. 3) there is no one at the location (28th street) other than the two on sight security cameras. The only security is the chain link fence, your unit door and your lock. Nothing stopping the fence from being scaled or cut. And no person to call other that the answering service to talk with. 4) after you pay your fists months rent you get an agreement and instructions totally holding the property owner harmless of anything that happens to your stuff. 5) the insurance company they offer also seems to be overseas. Meaning they are a risk and you cannot go after them if they decide not to pay on claims. They listed an entice basic list excluding the specific term "Hurricanes" but mentioning tornadoes? And again I never heard of this outfit. So there ya have it. In my opinion this business is questionable at bets but won't answer questions and the owning entity hides very well from their customers. Otherwise their rates with insurance coverage is about .33 % cheaper than the rest that I am aware of at present. They should provide at least an office and a manager and the business licenses as we would normally see and names and telephone numbers for upper management personnel and the owning institutions as well. I do not do business with anyone who hides from their customers. In my book these businesses are fronts, or out of the country owned meaning you could just buy a trailer out your stuff in that and pay a friend or relative to allow you to store it on their property. But they are cheaper than the others at first anyway. But not enough to risk my stuff. Basically, I would not recommend using this storage place unless your stuff is all stuff you don't mind loosing.

Movers broke my furniture, lost pieces and left parts behind preventing full re-assembly. I had to catch and hold a column of wrongly stacked boxes from falling over (large boxes were stacked on top of small). I had to lift and move several items myself (42 yr old mom) with 3 movers on site. It's been nearly 3 weeks after my move and I still have no pillows or bedding - been sleeping on a mattress for 3 weeks. Every night I go to sleep I'm reminded of the moving experience with Two Men and a Truck. I specifically told them which items go inside the new residence and which ones go to storage .... multiple times. My bedding and a number of other items were placed in storage (after being told they go into the new home). Everything is stacked in a 10x10 storage unit and items are buried under boxes and I don't know which items are where. I caught one of the movers carrying on a lengthy conversation with some random person on the sidewalk while being paid $285/ hr. Absolutely NOT worth the nearly $2,000 I was charged and paid for a local move. I gave the movers drinks and snacks half way through the move (because it was hot & I care) which they promptly discarded the bottles and packaging in the street and on the front lawn of my new residence. At the end of it all, I was in tears. I highly recommend to please find a different moving company at a better price. Try Angie's List or check your local storage companies, they usually have recommendations for good movers. The level of experience, care, and professionalism that I was expecting simply was not there. They do not exhibit nor do they honor a so called "Grandma Rule". I emailed about the damages as instructed .... nothing ... but silence. I had quotes from multiple movers and all were lower than Two Men and a Truck. Despite being the highest of all the quotes, I thought it would be worth the extra funds for experienced & professional movers, but that's not what I got. The service was not at all worth the $285/ hr I paid. Save your money and find a better moving company.
