We were struggling with Casey's years of abuse & neglect that resulted in severe separation anxiety and hyperactivity. I was distraught and desperate to avoid re-homing Casey when I finally found The Canine Effect. Kimberly has taught Casey and I how to connect, how to better communicate with one another, and most importantly, how to trust each other. I searched for the right trainer for Casey for months not realizing that I also needed the right trainer for me. With Kimberly's insightful direction I have come to understand that it is not just about training your dog; it's also about understanding yourself and the role you play in your dog's behavior. Always available by phone with advice and compassion, Kimberly has truly changed our lives for the better and Casey and I both highly recommend Kimberly and The Canine Effect if you are searching for a partnership based on trust and love with your 4-legged best friend.

I looked up dog walking services yesterday on Yelp and was impressed by Abi's website. Very professional. I called and she was able to come meet Chewy right away. I am out of town today and tomorrow and she is checking in on 3x a day while I am gone. She sends me updates and text messages photos of him while on walks. My place of work through me under the bus with this traveling thing, but Colorado Peak Puppy helped me take care of my dog. Chewy will be seeing Abi regularly as well because there are times I play in a softball league after work. I no longer have to leave Chewy alone for 14 hours. Abi can take care of him in the afternoon and he'll get his exercise for the day. I recommend this to anyone. In addition, most recently, I recommended Colorado Peak Puppy to a friend and they have had such a great experience with Abi. Abi is dependable and that is sometimes hard to find in small businesses these days. My friend backs up everything I just said and is impressed with her dog's improved behavior since Abi has been walking her. My friend states that Abi must be doing a little training while on the walks. I am not saying this would be true for all dogs, but I truly believe Abi has dogs' best interest at heart.

Jenn is hands down the best dog trainer we have ever had the pleasure of working with…read more We have 3 relatively difficult dogs that we moved in together and Jenn not only made the transition possible but also eased so much of the stress throughout. We recently had a baby and had Jenn back to assist with the dogs there and AGAIN, she was amazing and spent all of the time prepping the dogs (and us!) for what needs to happen for the whole family to thrive. We would recommend as highly as possible!!!

We have a curious and energetic pup, and I loved the way Jenn really tailored our sessions to our goals, but also Penny's personality. Love her!!

Brad's demeanor is calm, kind and caring. During these past 6 weeks not only did Brody learn but we did as well. Each area of concern that we had was addressed, training provided and follow through homework was given until our next session. We started out with very little knowledge and confidence and ended with Brody being happy and obedient. We as owners now have the tools needed to continue working with Brody, and are also more confident not only with Brody but with ourselves. We cannot say enough positive things about Brad and his training skills. He came highly recommended, and we too highly recommend him.

In a new environment with new distractions, he was a much more reactive and anxious dog -- barking at everyone walking by and chasing after dogs and deer. When new people would come to the door, he would aggressively bark, which would make us nervous to have strangers visit. We have completed three sessions with Michael so far, and we have noticed such an improvement! As an animal behaviorist, Michael helps you understand the emotions and reasoning behind your dog's response. We had previously completed basic dog obedience courses, and while those help with commands, Michael has taught us how to communicate better with Tucker and earn his respect and trust. While we still have work to do, he has become less reactive to people and no longer chases other animals. We can tell he is more relaxed and willing to let us take the lead -- he looks to us before reacting and is much more responsive to commands. He is just overall a happier dog! We will continue to work with Michael and can't wait to see the progress Tucker makes in the coming months. Regardless of your dog's issues, Michael can help!

I was a little hesitant at first because we've always had friends to take care of them when out of town. However, I felt comfortable right away once I met Rick and discussed his services. He came to our house and got along with the dogs great, even Shiloh who is very skittish around people, especially men. The thing I love most is that Rick not only takes great care, but he sends pictures when he comes and lets us know what is going on. As promised, he came 4 times per day, but he greatly exceeded our expectations as he often stayed for an hour or more (vs. the 15 minutes discussed). When we got home, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that he had cleaned up our house to make sure he or the dogs didn't leave a mess and he washed the dogs too. My wife and I were blown away by that. I would definitely recommend Wag-A-Little to anyone and will not hesitate to use them again. They really show that they care not only for the animals but also care about the owners and their wishes as well. They keep you informed and ask before doing anything not discussed. They're awesome!

However, when I stumbled upon A Wagging Success, the price wasn't too much more than petco and seemed like a better 1 on 1 fit for my husband and I and my dog. The owner of A Wagging Success is cheerful and bubbly, which I appreciated early on. Her initial phone interview felt welcoming and she expressed how her A Wagging Success was exactly what we needed to break our dog of unhealthy habits. However, as classes continued, I felt she spent more time telling stories and advertising for her next level classes than teaching my dog new tricks. I felt like the instruction was minimal and my dog was bored. Further more, when she was instructing, she would often snap and the dog owners as if they were a dog who was misbehaving. If the owner wasn't doing something perfect with their dog, instead of gently correcting the wrong training technique, she would scold them. Overall, I was unimpressed and would not return to A Wagging Success.
