Each area of concern that we had was addressed, training provided and follow through homework was given until our next session. We started out with very little knowledge and confidence and ended with Brody being happy and obedient. We as owners now have the tools needed to continue working with Brody, and are also more confident not only with Brody but with ourselves. They were still in there when I returned to pick them up early. The little 7 pound girl had a huge bite that was treated by my veterinarian. She said it had not been treated and was infected. I later found out that Ana has lost her accreditation with the American Kennel Association (AKA) due to numerous complaints against her. I wish that I had never taken my poor little puppies to her. I used to own Playful Pooch and I know how to properly run a facility like this. They do not have sufficient staff to let the dogs play through the day. There are no outside playgrounds so the dogs pee inside or they are walked to a field filled with weeds and and thistles. This is just one more of the Denver Doggy Daycares that try to make a lot of extra money, but do not offer high quality services. Grace Dog Training & Behavior truly gives a bad name to the very industry that I worked so hard to improve.

My journey with OFF LEASH K9 TRAINING began when I chose them after extensive research on the best company to train our first two huskies at Colorado. Everyone had told us that huskies can't be trained because of how stubborn they are. People would call us crazy for even owning TWO HUSKIES. Our life was a mess because we couldn't build the communication ourselves. Thank God we got Gustavo as our dog trainer to prove everyone wrong. He built a clear communication between us and our dogs. Which has led everyone to turn around with amazement to watch our dogs have an excellent recall upon hiking. To have an extended down when going out for a coffee or to walk next to us when going to the stores. Happy with the results, once I moved to Texas I recommended my family, living in Texas with their two yorkies and a husky, this company. The results were off from what my two huskies had with Gustavo at Denver Colorado. Which led me to drive TWENTY HOURS to give Dracarys, the new member of our family, the opportunity to be trained by Gustavo at Denver. He trained Dracarys to be calm, obedient, patient and to follow all the commands diligently plus he also gave me a refresher for the husky trained with off leash in Texas. Gustavo is fluent in English, Spanish and he happens to be a dog whisper as-well. He explains how the dog thinks and acts in a very easy to understand manner. He has well organized thoughts which has led me to be able to instruct my dog on what it is that I want from him without creating any confusion on the dog. We have a 170lb 2 yr old rescue English Mastiff that acts like a giant puppy. He gets super excited…read moreto meet every new person or pet he sees. This overstimulation made it almost impossible to control, and we had to pick very odd times to walk him to be able to avoid seeing anyone. We have worked with Dan for a month now and the change is amazing! He used to run over dogs in his excitement, and often bump into people as well. He now walks well on a leash, we can see when he starts to get excited and actually stop and redirect him. We can call him, and even have a dog run perpendicular across his oath, and he still comes directly to us. We are so excited that we can now take him places with us and meet all of his doggy cousins!!! Dan is great to work with, and with his instructions and our daily follow-up training, we have come so far in a very short period of time. I cried the first couple of classes, because we could not control our dog. I cried at the last class, because we had complete control over him. We have a…read moreShepherd/Cattle Dog mix (high energy, high intelligence), and before meeting Bruce, we had tried multiple trainers, most of whom were only okay. Initially, we knew some basic commands, but the biggest struggle we could not overcome was our dog's obedience or reactivity concerns. Before Bruce, our dog did not do well with other dogs and people on walks, and guests couldn't come to our home due to fear of being accidentally hurt by him. Our lowest point was when our boy bit a lady at a local Farmer's Market, where we were attempting to do some training with him, and he became startled. We utilized as much of the training we had worked on with other trainers, but it wasn't enough. That's when we called Bruce. Here's our experience: at the initial meeting, we were very impressed with Bruce's resume and we could tell by his skill-set that he would be able to turn our boy around. Bruce had over 15 years experience working with dogs who were relinquished due to aggression or behaviors at a local humane society, turning them into confident, obedient and adoptable dogs. Not to mention, he also trained in Germany for 3+ years overseas with a military-style training for police dogs. Bruce uses a combination of high-drive reinforcement and timely corrections One thing to keep in mind though, you get out what you put in. If you aren't willing to do the work, Bruce might not be the right guy for you. We were pretty motivated and found a lot of success with Bruce. Within the first few sessions, we saw noticeable changes in our dog's behavior; he was gaining confidence through the consistency and training Bruce taught us about. Bruce's ability to fine-tune all the mixed signals we were giving AND giving us detailed explanations of why they were important to correct, completely changed everything for us. He even explains the science behind some of the techniques, which we appreciated. Our closest family and friends knew all the struggles we had experienced with our boy before Bruce. They have been so impressed with how much progress our dog has made. We would absolutely recommend Bruce to anyone needing dog training.
