When I visited they had a great live free-style hip-hop, show put on by two guys from Berlin. The show was top-notch, the sound great, and the crowd was well mixed and hopping. Strange to be at a live hip-hop show and not a brother there to representing the black man, but whatever. Since there was a live show, there was a 14 CHF cover which I though was worth every cent. Drink prices where also quite reasonable, costing 6ish CHF for mixed drinks and wine. The people working there where very laid back and friendly. Worth noting here is when you order vodka, they will not understand you unless you pronounce it vood-ka, but maybe they where just giving the foreigner some shit. :) The location is stumbling distance from the Hardbrüke station, nice to know when it is pissing rain. Over all I highly recommend Helsinki as a drinking and live music venue.

The music was blaring and you could feel the beats in your stomach. Overall the dress code was casual. Girls - you can totally wear converse and it will be cool. The bathrooms were large so you didn't have to wait too long to get past the girls taking selfies in the mirror, which is nice.

Thus, the space for roller skating is small and the floor is not flat and smooth. But, you can't be picky when their are no roller skating rinks to be found in Switzerland. Be sure to come early when doors open at 10pm, because if you don't have your own skates to bring, they most likely will run out of the popular sizes. For 25 CHF and a personal ID (be sure to keep the paper number in order to pick your ID back up at the end), you get a pair of quad skates and the ability to skate your heart away for the evening to music played by DJ's from across multiple generations, so if you are a hater of the 70's Disco era, do not fear, because they only played a couple of songs from that genre. Once you have obtained your skates, you can rent a blue Ikea bag for 5 CHF to put all your personal belongings in and have stored (be sure yet again to not loose the paper number). Once you have successfully put on your skates, be prepared to climb some stairs in order to gain access to the "rink" area. There is a bar serving libations and random places to sit outside the rink floor. Once the evening gets going the floor becomes a slow moving rolling sea of bodies, some of which dressed up in colourful attire. There is no end of wonderful people watching opportunities here. For those with real skating skills, you will find solo roller dancers showing off their funky moves in spaces they can find on the side. A good evening out with friends, to get your "skate" on, enjoy some people watching, and groove to the music.

It used to be old horse stalls and they turned it into a bar (next to it a restaurant and theatre). There are tables, a bar and sofa's. Its very easy-going. In the bar you also have the ticket corner for Gessnerallee. You can have small things to eat such as nacho's but nothing special. For that you have to go to the restaurant. I like just to go and have a pre-drink before I go because personnaly I don't like to much the DJ' nights. Not my kinda music. Whats really funny: the lamps :) They have differents lamps all over the bar.
