All of my girls attended this dance studio. The teachers are awesome and the owner loves the kids. Great place to be.

If you are looking to try Barre, are not a natural born ballerina, and don't want to be intimidated; go to CC plus Fitness. On the other hand, their ambiguous introductory offer is off putting and deceiving. Upon arriving for the first time, you are told you can have a week of free classes or 11 classes for 30 dollars, BUT you have to decide in that instant. You are not allowed to try a new class first and then make a decision. How was I supposed to know how my body would react to a new exercise or whether or not I would even like it? I don't know about you, but I can't throw money around, even if it's only 30 dollars. So I left after my first class not really making either decision. After further consideration, I hopped online and found the Groupon deal and bought it. Excited to start my new work out regime, I showed up and was told that I was no longer a new client. Because I had been to ONE class, that made me an "active member" of the CC and thus I am not eligible. I was turned away, the worker was rude and mean. I didn't come to the gym to feel condescended and small. I'll take some responsibility here as I did not understand that I was no longer a new client after the first free class, but that was not clearly articulated to me. Instead, I was barked at and made to feel insignificant and small at my mistake. So, like I said, I have conflicting feelings. The instructor of the one class I attended was quite lovely and encouraging. The worker at the front counter, possibly the manager or owner, was insulting and mean.

We sent our daughter here and though she enjoyed it both my wife and I were both a bit offended. First off, ,my wife as spent decades in the dance world both doing and teaching for several different studios all over metro Detroit. She noted several things that she felt were short-armed shortcuts and likely the result of us being enrolled in a non recital or competition class. This was taken as an insult as the class should be given the same effort, attention and professionalism as any other... I work in the electronic payments space, am certified and write questions for the industries sales certification test - specifically pertaining to pricing and rules. This business applies a surcharge to all cards for payment. This is a bush-league practice that ALL big box stores and real businesses don't do. First off, it's been LEGALLY banned in 10 states already and even where allowed by law, is NOT ALLOWED on ANY debit or pre-paid card - even if you use the card as "Credit". Visa publishes these rules on their site - since I'm not sure that Yelp will allow me to paste links here you'll have to simply Google search "visa surcharge rules" for a Q&A from their site that specifically says as much. You can also google search "dispute visa surcharge" for a page on their site where you can dispute any visa transaction on a debit or pre-paid card. you will be awarded your transaction back, the merchant will be contacted by visa, may be fined and can lead to them losing the privilege altogether. The bottom line is that this merchant cares more about what they want than what's convenient for their customer. I will gladly drive farther or pay $5 more to go elsewhere. I'll go to one of the several other studios in the area that don't penalize me for paying how I want to pay or making us feel like our child isn't getting the attention they would have if they had signed up for a class the studio cares more about.
