But they do respond to the email quickly. It'd just be nice if I stay in the loop. Overall, Hired does an outstanding job. I honestly don't know of a company that's better and cheaper. Chris came very highly recommended from a co-worker so after talking to two other landscape companies I hired Chris on the spot. Chris has done an amazing job & has been extremely punctional other than 2 weeks or so ago he had a family emergency which was more important and he did text me to let me know he would be off for a few days helping with his son. They goofed off much of the day, according to my neighbor--although I thought one of the young men at least tried. They did not understand what Artemio and I had agreed on a few days prior. Finally, after about 5 hours, they called Artemio when my frustration rose up, and he denied several additional tasks that he and I had agreed on, including pressure washing my chimney top from the roof, and cleaning out my downspouts. They did end up cleaning my chimney top, using my own pressure washer, because they had not brought one. My house walls are covered in dirt from the roof cleaning, especially my front porch area. I was dismayed to find they had collected many piles of leaves from my driveway, which I had been saving for mulch. Even after I asked them to stop doing that, they still took away all my leaves! Now I will have to buy about $100 of mulch. They were supposed to wash my upper windows that I cannot reach. After they left, I discovered that my dirtiest upper window, which is the most visible upon approaching the front door, is still filthy. Instead they washed 2nd story windows from my porch and deck that I said I could clean. On top of it all, Artemio rudely told me I am "crazy." And today, I met with a professional roof cleaner to see about cleaning my downspouts. He showed me what a poor roof cleaning job I got from Perez Landscaping. I asked him about the stiff wire hand brushes they used, in addition to the typical brush brooms I've seen before. He told me those wire hand brushes could have loosened the granules in my roofing, and he also showed me places where the shingles had lifted up. Pretty disappointing. Perhaps the experience would have been much improved if I could speak Guatemalan, or if Artemio had been here to supervise and communicate. I will not call him again.

Cory is a nice guy, but oversells himself. Don't waste your time or money. We hired Cory for…read moremultiple jobs; he shows up consistently while you're giving him the initial payment, and the first or second progress payment into a big job, but we quickly realized he lacks the ability to complete or finish projects -Cory either misses details, or he sees it, but is hoping you won't notice. For example, Cory installed a $30k island for us, crooked. Cory was simultaneously hired to install our own wood floor, and within a few months we started noticing size able gaps in the floorboards. I asked Cory to come fix the floor and have been blown off for over 4 weeks. The one time he did show, he was here long enough to remove some trim, complain about having to be on a job site not getting paid, (when he's having to fix his error), said he'd return in a few days because he didn't have the right tools and hasn't shown back up, returned calls, or texts. Don't waste your time with this guy.

My only issue is his quotes are really high, be prepared to negotiate and get several quotes. He wasn't the highest nor was he the cheapest. The spread was $250 - $1200 over 4 quotes. My usual guy disappeared and he was $300. Pelican came in at $600 if recall correctly and I feel like I was being tested for how much I would pay instead of just giving me a straight quote. I told him I usually pay $300 bucks and he did it for that. I do like my last couple of landscapers they came in with a reasonable quote and did a good job, no games. I just respect that.
