I have been playing for years and maintain an 8 handicap. I've hit a stage in my game where I'm as good as I can get by myself and wanted extra professional help to get my game to another level. I have long considered GolfTec and finally made the jump this year. I was connected with Max Toom as my coach and I could not say enough good about him and this GolfTec location as a whole. Best decision ever! During my swing evaluation Max really got to know me, my game, tendencies, frustrations, and goals. He developed a clear lesson plan placing me side by side with a tour pro on the monitor and pointed out good parts of my swing as well as places of focus. He also explained what he saw in my swing that causes my misses and frustrations. I purchased a 10 lesson/practice session pack which I used once each week. Max began making simple adjustments that made drastic improvements. What I really like is the data and video that gives instant feedback on what we were working on in each lesson. Max's method is easy to understand, he provides thorough explanation, and helped me make progress while not overwhelming me with too much to digest at once. We also did a club fitting along the way where we found I was hitting my 4 iron and 3 hybrid the same distance. We found that a 5 wood in place of my 3 hybrid would give me a much better yardage progression through the bag while also giving me additional options off the tee. Ultimately, I have made huge improvements and I can't wait to get on the course to see the results. I'm hitting everything longer with more accuracy, my shot dispersions are tighter, and my misses are much more playable. What I really like about Max is he gave me ways to self-diagnose on the course so I can make minor adjustments during a round if needed. I feel way more in control of my ball and have much more confidence! Max has reignited my love for the game and I can't wait for the 2025 season. If you're thinking about GolfTec - Go for it!! Went to Golftec in the summer of last year hoping to make a few small improvements across my game i.e. undesirable ball flight and more confidence with tee shots. I signed up for a swing evaluation and the 5 lesson pack hoping that we could improve my game, but unfortunately experienced the opposite. While some lessons were helpful in the short term, big swing changes were made with the assurance that adding on more lessons would result in big improvements to my game. Fast forward a year later, and I have developed habits that have added 15-20 strokes to my game and have made me lose interest in the game of golf altogether. If you are looking for small improvements to your game, I would look elsewhere. read more

I had only golfed a few times over the last few years so i decided to sign up for a swing evaluation. My instructor, Kyle, was professional and informative from the beginning. I decided to sign up for lessons with him. He has been nothing short of amazing with his patience and time working with me and my swing. Not only has my distance improved, but i am making better contact with the ball. I have enjoyed golf more during this year than any time in the past thanks to his help. Went there for a swing evaluation, I was supposed to receive a call the day before to discuss my game, that didn't happen. Was told to bring all my clubs. I only hit my 7 iron. The gentleman who watched my swing wasted part of the session "teaching" me about what causes different ball flights, which I learned many years ago. Then he excused himself and told me to keep hitting. When he (finally) returned he showed me a video of what was probably the worst swing I had taken, obviously he had been watching and waiting for a swing that would be an easy teaching moment. Yeah, I had swung a bit "over the top", but I know a slice isn't a problem in my game. It was just easier for him to use that one bad swing rather than find other inconsistencies in my game. My time was up, I had to ask if I could at least pull out my driver for a few swings. All in all this evaluation was a waste of time and money, and at least this "pro" had no interest in taking the time to improve my game. read more

I have been hitting the range at Stoneybrook for about 6 years, and as of the spring of 2018 the golf shop and restaurant are back up and running. I would give it five stars but they have been running out of balls lately and they no longer seem to have waitstaff on the range, and since I know have to go to the bar to get food and drinks I figured only 4 stars were justified. read more
