I visited for the first time in mid-November 2024 on a Saturday morning. I had never heard about…read morethis tennis center before so I was so excited to check it out. A friend invited me to come play group tennis with her because she has been loving coaching with Coach Aziz since April 2024. GROUP TENNIS DRILLS: The way the class works is that the coach will tell the group what to do. He will start off by feeling the ball to one person (long or short ball) then the group plays doubles. I had so much fun playing tennis with Coach Aziz. I arrived about 10 mins late but I was still able to jump in and play. There were 5 of us ladies on the court so only 4 are playing at a time. But, since we played drills, the 5th person just rotates onto the court every few minutes. It was a very fast paced class which I loved. We all moved the whole 1.5 hours while Coach Aziz gave us tips/lessons. He is super funny and makes the session so fun. Playing a sport recreationally should be fun and not stressful. My tennis racked grip is super old so I bought a tennis grip tape the day before from Target. Once I got to the court, Coach Aziz made a funny joke about how old my racket was because it isn't even designed anymore (LOL) so I was given a newer racket to use. I did not use mine...haha. Individual tennis lessons are also available and you can pick which Coach you want to work with (see my attached photos to this review to view the coaches). While my friend generously paid for me, I think that a group lesson is $25 for an hour. The lesson I attended was an hour and a half though which still cost around $25. If you forget your tennis racket, you can lend one for free (at least, I never paid for the one that I borrowed). I will MOST definitely be back because tennis is my favourite sport to play. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 122/150 total reviews in 2024 - 771 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 8 December 2024

I have long considered GolfTec and finally made the jump this year. I was connected with Max Toom as my coach and I could not say enough good about him and this GolfTec location as a whole. Best decision ever! During my swing evaluation Max really got to know me, my game, tendencies, frustrations, and goals. He developed a clear lesson plan placing me side by side with a tour pro on the monitor and pointed out good parts of my swing as well as places of focus. He also explained what he saw in my swing that causes my misses and frustrations. I purchased a 10 lesson/practice session pack which I used once each week. Max began making simple adjustments that made drastic improvements. What I really like is the data and video that gives instant feedback on what we were working on in each lesson. Max's method is easy to understand, he provides thorough explanation, and helped me make progress while not overwhelming me with too much to digest at once. We also did a club fitting along the way where we found I was hitting my 4 iron and 3 hybrid the same distance. We found that a 5 wood in place of my 3 hybrid would give me a much better yardage progression through the bag while also giving me additional options off the tee. Ultimately, I have made huge improvements and I can't wait to get on the course to see the results. I'm hitting everything longer with more accuracy, my shot dispersions are tighter, and my misses are much more playable. What I really like about Max is he gave me ways to self-diagnose on the course so I can make minor adjustments during a round if needed. I feel way more in control of my ball and have much more confidence! Max has reignited my love for the game and I can't wait for the 2025 season. If you're thinking about GolfTec - Go for it!! Ask for Max Toom!

Pricing: 5/5 Really, there is no where that can beat the pricing of Planet Fitness. $10 a month for a no-contract, month-to-month membership is great. I personally do the black card which I also believe is unbeatable. It's about $22 a month and included you have unlimited access to any planet fitness in the country, unlimited guest privileges, unlimited use of massage machines, and unlimited tanning (if that's your thing). I know a lot of tanning places charge more than this a month and only provide the tanning portion so the black card really is a steal for all those extras. Facilities: 5/5 Everything is clean. People wipe down their machines and equipment after use. Staff go around to make sure everything is clean. The locker rooms and showers are pristine. Machines are all working and look new. Doesn't smell like butt, which is all you can ask for in a gym. Also the hours are unbeatable! Staff: 4/5 Staff seem friendly and willing to answer questions. I've never felt judged by them. My only complaint is that, upon being given my black card, I had no further explanation to anything. The front desk person basically just handed my card to me. I didn't get a tour, a run down of any rules, or instructions on how to do things like reserve tanning beds and such. This resulted in me learning basically through trial and error! Equipment: 3/5 This is where it gets a little dicey for me. The equipment that they do have is immaculate, so that's great. The majority of the gym, it seems, is dedicated to cardiovascular machines. Which is great if that's what you're here for! I think this gym is severely lacking in terms of lifting. They also seem to be missing very basic stuff that anyone would assume a gym to have. I have noticed so far that there are no: stability balls, jump ropes, or mini resistance bands. The other bummer is that, if they don't have an item, you are unable to bring any of your own equipment. All in all, this place is definitely a great deal. The benefits alone are worth the price, but the gym is also clean and the equipment is in great condition.
