But my girlfriend and I caught a weird vibe from the workers. It was Robert and another guy wearing an Irish golf cap unsure of his name. But I first picked out the club I was going to buy and it had an old timey leather golf grip, like something Bobby Jones would've used. I was wanting another MCC grip that matched all my other clubs to be put on the wedge. They both gave me a scuffled look like they didn't want to do that. They were persistent that this was a $50 golf grip and that I should keep it. It is not what I wanted and they were not very fond of me changing the grip. Robert eventually let me do it, but was very judgmental about it. I then wanted to see the different options available of grips and politely asked if I could walk to where the grips were. He gave me a pretty stern No. I understood, but overall was a weird interaction. Got my club and it was good work, But the workers interaction with me rubbed off the wrong way. Would Not want my girlfriend going into this golf store alone to buy me something. 2 Stars.

I had a few people tell me that since I'm 6 feet tall, that maybe my clubs needed a little extension. I heard about Joel through another friend so I called him up. He asked me to show him my normal stance so he could see how I start my swing. It was there that he noticed I had too much bend in my knees and gave me some advice to try. I went home and pulled out my 7 iron and hit some in the back yard. I have never hit the ball so well. I am very excited about this weekend's round thanks go Joel. Consistently Incredible Club Fittings!…read more I used these guys to upgrade my putter, driver, fairway woods, wedges, and irons in individual fitting sessions. The putter experience dropped my putts per round by 7, the driver session significantly extended my length and tightened my dispersion, the fairway woods brought noticeably better consistency, the wedge fitting yielded "dang! Did I just hit THAT shot" reliability, and the irons have me asking myself why I waited so long to make the change. This is a no-lose experience. The fitting fee is lopped off the purchase price. And you have 90 days to get a replacement if what you purchased does not perform. On the replacement, I took back the Titleist 58-degree wedge I purchased and swapped it for a 60-degree six weeks later. No questions asked! Highly recommended, particularly given the 90-day swap out option which the competition (you know ... the guys that claim to be the champion of such things) will absolutely NOT do.

The monthly membership is a good value if you are serious about putting time in and learning. We attended for maybe 2-3 months before we had to move away to a different state but we learned a lot. The other members are super friendly and help out. If you're new like we are, be patient and learn what you can from the group classes and then when you have some clubs of your own do a lot of practice on their simulators/virtual driving range... then take private lessons.
