I was recently in Dallas and got test fitted for irons and a putter, the fitting process was excellent, the fitter Jordan took the time to explain the process, set up different shafts and heads until the numbers on the screen were consistent, then he made a recommendation, which I accepted and purchase the recommendation based on the screen numbers and feeling when I hit the ball. I was pleasantly surprised when I took the iron set to the golf course, I had a rescue wood in my bag that I use quite often instead of a driver, to my surprise the recently fitted clubs recommended by Jordan were performing better than I expected. To provide an example, I hit 2 balls from the tee (just to try them out) and I hit my rescue wood and my 5 iron, the 5 iron (from the fitted clubs) went 8 yards (approximately) further than my rescue wood. Had I know I was going to hit them better (regardless of manufacturer and brand) I would have done the fitting years ago. Hope this helps any weekend golfer like myself. Thanks Jordan for taking the time with me during my fitting progress.

This a great place to learn, practice, refine or advance your skill and knowledge of golf…read more Regardless, if you are a novice or a 0 handicap, Robert McMillan and his staff will improve your game. Robert McMillan is a PGA certified professional who has qualified to play in the Open (UK). They uses tablets to capture your swing to give instant feedback. Instead of a lot of computers, indoor simulators and gadgets McMillan Golf Academy keeps it simple. Instead of putting you inside a computer simulation attached to wires and gadgets it's you & your personal instructor, outdoors on grass hitting golf balls. Because that's what golf is about, hitting a golf ball, not technojargon. Robert & Kevin are genuinely friendly. They are excited about teaching golf. They know that golf is enjoyed when your are striking the ball effectively and moving it down range. I have had 3 lessons with Robert and it has made a bigger difference than 1 year & $2000 at a big box golf store. At age 58 I thought there was no hope for me. Now I am excited about playing golf. I look forward to my lessons because Robert brings out the best in me, challenges me, gets me to use my brain instead of swinging aimlessly at the ball. I hold Robert in the same category as the Golf Channels Michael Breed (2012 PGA Teacher of the Year). Friendly, funny, sincere and excited to teach golf. And who doesn't enjoy learning golf from a Scot! Robert teaches the local high school team players as well as Texas college golf team members. Don't worry about driving to Colleyville or the money. One lesson and you will be hooked. Don't think about it any longer. Its spring in Texas, go get your golf game on.
