Legendary statesman and wit, Winston Churchill had an opinion about almost everything, and always eloquently worded these thoughts. A favourite of mine is his theory about my number one pastime, golf. Winston piped: "Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose." I might not necessarily agree with Winnie, but there is a semblance of truth in what he was saying, and that is possibly why golf shops are doing so well. Golfers are constantly upgrading their gear, and must have all the latest gadgets to improve their game. Golf is also not a sport for people wishing to dress up as pimps anymore, these days golfers are stylish and trendy, and the Golf Warehouse in Albany is home to a fine collection of golfing attire. My only problem with the store is the stairs... How am I going to get my pram up there when I'm out taking my son to get his first clubs? read more

Established in 2001.

Premier Golf Range in Takapuna was purchased from the previous owners in '97 & was renamed Premier International Golf Driving Range which it traded as for 4 years during this time we opened a second standalone store in Pitt Street in Auckland city. In 2001 we expanded into our current Newton location & re-branded to Golf Warehouse. Since then we have grown to a nationwide NZ owned & operated business with 3 driving ranges & 11 stores, 1 mini golf, & 2 9-hole golf courses & have the more golf coaching PGA professionals on staff than any other golf retailer in New Zealand. We have expanded our stores/ranges across Auckland, the Waikato, the Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago & in doing so have become the #1 account for all brands we stock. Our key is sourcing exclusive products & buying in bulk (usually by the container load) at cheaper prices & then passing those cheaper prices on directly to our customers. I found the service very helpful - I mean I turned up to buy a fishing kayak. I had roof racks already but I didn't know how to put them on my car. Texpro attached my roof racks as well as strapped the kayak down. I also got a quick lesson on best way to strap my kayak which was very good for me being the none the wiser. Great staff, great service and needless to say my husband was very happy with his fishing kayak.
