The last review was for the restaurant, and this one will be for the cafe! We arrived about an hour before closing time and it was entirely empty, but the staff still welcomed us warmly and let us sit down. It is a little more expensive than other places, but it's the difference of a few pence/cents in the grand scheme.
If you're in Gdansk, you have to sample the traditional goldwasser, and what better place to do it than a cafe named for the stuff? I wish we could have stayed longer and drank more, especially as it turned out that they don't sell goldwasser at the airport past security, so if you're bringing a carry on you will be out of luck in bringing any home! It kind of tastes like jagermeister but with more cinnamon. It's easy to sip and warms you right up.
We had some beers, too, because why not? Were out by 8pm when they shut, but didn't feel rushed. It's a good place to stop if you need to rest in the center of town, though I'd recommend finding a place more off the beaten path if you're able. read more
