I'm up for one heck of a fight for my life with amputations and CRPS and autoimmune conditions and these wonderful people are walking with me through it. And even Sierra is awesome with communicating either through phone calls or text message and it's always a joy to see them every month and having the option of telehealth is extremely helpful because it is almost impossible for me to leave my house. I am very very grateful for the entire team and when you find a great team you never let them go. My only regret is that I did not reach out to them sooner. I have had a better quality of life since things have been more stabilized and I have had less hospital admissions and that is the goal. Keeping me comfortable and now I can at least sit in my living room instead of lay in my bed and that is a win every little step is a win. Thank you so much everyone. Cydney Roer

After having Dr. Burkey and this practice recommended by my regular doctor, I was highly…read moredisappointed at the terrible experience I had with them. I've had back pain ranging from moderate to almost debilitating at times for more than ten years, and was referred to the practice to receive an epidural steroid injection to (hopefully) help ease the pain. I called the number listed and was given the run-around for an entire DAY before someone actually gave me the correct phone number and I was able to set up an appointment to have the procedure done. I was told that I would need someone to drive me to and from the office on the day of my procedure, so I had to inconvenience my husband (who had to leave his own job to run my home business while I had the procedure) and my mother (who took a half day at work to drive me to and from the office). The day of my injection, I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment and was the only patient in the office. It wasn't until ten minutes after my procedure should have started that the doctor walked out to the waiting room to see me (there was no receptionist there that day). Turns out that the office had made a mistake and I wasn't receiving my injection that day, but was only having a consult with the doctor...so no pain management that day...and I had inconvenience two people for no reason. Dr. Burkey's office royally screwed up my appointment time twice again...so still no pain management. The receptionist, Sandy, was downright rude to me over the phone when I called to get things sorted out, and reflects poorly on the entire practice. In the end, after scheduling and rescheduling my procedure three different times, I cancelled it altogether and will be going to a different practice. Dr. Burkey himself was friendly, but seemed a bit unknowledgeable. There were lots of long pauses during my consultation while he gathered his thoughts, lots of "Um"s and "Uh"s. The receptionist, however, was rude, unprofessional, and not the least bit helpful. After almost a month of calling the office and having my appointment times screwed up, I have zero confidence in this doctor or in the practice. I will not go to him again, and I absolutely DO NOT recommend the practice.

When I called NEMOURS to explain the situation, they were shocked -- and they had my son's full records within an hour, at no cost. Why does it cost me $40 but costs NEMOURS nothing. Total money grab! This office clearly cares more about money than their patients. It's disappointing and unprofessional. Don't waste your time or your money go to NEMOURS instead. I'm extremely disappointed in how my last appointment here went. Not only was the doctor dismissive…read moreof my wishes as a parent, but she also shamed me and blamed me for being the reason my infant wakes in the night, completely ignoring the fact that it's biologically normal and actually a protective mechanism for an infant to wake for at least the first year of life. She also spewed a bunch of outdated research like infants should only be spoon fed purées and you need to yell at your baby in a "mean voice" sometimes. The real kicker was when she told me to put my baby in his crib and leave him there all night to cry it out when I said that I support him to sleep. She even mentioned leaving the house to go outside as needed to get away from the crying. I'm honestly baffled at everything that she said. As someone who is supposed to be an expert in children's well-being, I would expect a doctor to keep up to date with current research on what is actually best for children and how to best form secure attachments with our babies. Luckily, I know better, but I feel for the parents who blindly put their faith in a doctor just to get shamed and told they're doing it all wrong and need to be an authoritarian. I will give this place another chance because it's close to home and there are 3 other doctors to meet with but I will not be seeing that same doctor again. If anyone else mentions neglecting my child all night or any other nonsense, I will immediately switch practices. Use caution when choosing my this practice if you want to hold your child and respond to their needs.

Come to find out that it is SI-Joint related. On my 2nd visit, we had a injection procedure done. the next day, my pain went considerably down - manageable. I showed up for the tests and they only had it written down that I was getting one. Lucky me, the doctor was in that day, so they got quick approval for the second test. Phew. I came back two days later, as directed, to have the tests read. Despite having two negative tests, they would not sign the form, stating that I would need to make an appointment with the doctor to have a physical. Worse yet, the same nurse who gave me the tests claimed that she had informed me about the physical on my last visit! She had said nothing about it and was completely defensive. Throughout this whole debacle, I was listening to other nurses on the phone with other patients. I could NOT believe my ears! They were incredibly rude.
