I'm a new patient at Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center as of May 2021. I've been into the office…read moretwice so far, and have had positive experiences in person on both occasions. The first was for an annual check up, which was very easy to schedule over the phone. At the end of this appointment, I tried to schedule a follow up appointment for some bloodwork and a vaccination. I was told that you cannot make appointments in-person and had to do so online, which I found a bit frustrating because I prefer making my follow ups while there so I don't forget. After my first visit, I was sent information via email regarding how to sign up for their online portal. I did so and attempted to make the follow up appointments I needed, sadly the website is tricky to navigate, and the "services" I needed, did not appear as options for me to select while scheduling. Five months later... I finally got around to calling and was able to make the appointment over the phone but learned that they no longer do bloodwork in house. I was easily able to schedule my vaccination appointment with options as early as the same day and next day. This week I arrived early by for my 8:15 AM appointment. I was seen about 10 minutes late, but that's fine. I was provided with paperwork regarding the vaccination I was receiving and then administered the vaccine. This process took about 10 minutes start to finish. After leaving, I realized that I do not have a follow up appointment scheduled yet, and will need one. I plan to call sooner than later to ensure I don't go another five months without returning. I've found the staff members to be kind and professional. I really liked Molly Lee, who did my annual as she was thorough and informative. In a perfect world, I'd be able to schedule my next appointments while there in person.

It…read morewas at a really awkward time because the doctor's office she was going to (Greenhouse Internist) on Mt. Airy Ave. has just closed permanently the end of Dec. 2022. Luckily, I got her medical records and I'm following her physician ( Sue Maynard) to Mt. Airy Family Practice. Mt. Airy Family Practice is located in beautiful West Mt. Airy. Not hard to find with its red awning stating the name. They're still using the safety precautions for covid. You have to ring the bell to enter. A staff member greets you at the door with a series of questions. Have had your covid shot? Exposed to covid? Out of the country? Waiting for covid results? That sort of questioning! And you must wear a mask! Once you get past this, you can enter. They were pretty efficient with the registration process, and taken in to be seen pretty quickly. My daughter has special needs and they were great and patient with her. Special thanks to the young lady that took her blood and gave her a flu shot. So sorry I didn't get her name. Sue Maynard (nurse practitioners) was great as well. Filled out the necessary paperwork that I need with no problem. The only issue is they never mentioned the $15 fee for the paperwork until I was about to leave. I do understand these fees, but please be upfront about them. So glad to be following this practice.

I was impressed that they do lab work right in the office and call also help with OBGYN needs as well. They also have an online portal where you can see lab results and message the provider about questions or request an upcoming appointment. I am also really impressed with the NP who helped me with a physical and vaccinations for school.

I had an intake appointment scheduled for anxiety treatment on 8/27, confirmed 24 hours in advance…read more That morning, before I'd finished the new-patient paperwork (via Zocdoc, per the practice's own instructions), the office canceled my appointment by text. I called and they reinstated it -- at no point was I told I needed to use a separate patient portal instead of Zocdoc. I completed the Zocdoc paperwork and arrived. Front desk staff told me the forms were invalid and that a different portal was required -- something I was never informed of, including during that morning's call. Staff seemed unaware the practice had sent me Zocdoc instructions to begin with. Rather than resolve their own scheduling error, they canceled my appointment a second time at check-in. I informed staff and an on-site psychiatrist that I was near the end of my current anxiety medication and concerned about withdrawal. That psychiatrist offered to reschedule me. Another Psychiatrist then intervened, blamed me for the administrative error, and told the other psychiatrist she wasn't permitted to answer my medication question outside of a scheduled appointment -- leaving a stated safety concern unaddressed with two providers present. During this exchange, three staff members positioned themselves standing around and above me while Ms. Mouras addressed me in a raised, hostile tone. No one sat down, lowered their voice, or made any effort to de-escalate. I was given no privacy and no space to speak without feeling outnumbered and physically crowded, in what was supposed to be a mental health setting for a patient presenting with anxiety. I ultimately left the practice without receiving any care, treatment, or resolution to my medication concern. I've filed a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing regarding this incident.

I was never told there were pain management doctors who actually wanted to help me. My serious, chronic pain was ignored and minimized. Recently I was having life-disrupting perimenopause symptoms, and I agonized to Dr Kirschner over not sleeping, sweating through my clothes several times a night, and worsening mental health. I was ignored and not given a single piece of advice about how to get help. I had asked to go on hormone replacement therapy and I was denied. At my 1st appointment with my female rheumatologist she diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. WHY WAS DR KIRSCHNER SO INEPT THAT HE MISSED THIS CRITICAL, LIFE CHANGING DIAGNOSIS? WHY DID HE IGNORE MY 5+ YEARS OF AGONY, SUFFERING WITH NO PAIN MANAGEMENT? There is no excuse for this serious, purposeful lack of care. ZERO concern was shown for my pain. I hope this doctor suffers in pain for years, ignored, like I did.
