The management of this company is disorganized and ineffective. Despite making promises, managers lack the authority to resolve membership issues. Customers are constantly bombarded with robo-calls, and attempts to speak with a manager are futile. You have to contact the St. Laurent location because no one at the Laval branch is helpful. When you finally reach the St. Laurent manager, they claim they can't assist and assure you someone from Laval will call you back. Three months later, no one has called. As a result, my entire family and I have switched to the gym across the street. We are much happier with their straightforward approach and the same pricing. read more

Pros: Nice facility, great selection of classes, pool, sauna. Clean. Negative: Poor management. They had trouble adjusting to Covid: continued billing, despite calls, etc. At some point, had to stop payment via my bank. It is one thing to subscribe to a service and not attending, but it is another when you are paying and the service is not available. They said it was MY responsibility to call and put a hold on the payment (customer's fault of course). Nobody would pick up the phone in March of 2020. I promised myself I would never go back, but the Covid weight :) So I went, tried subscribing, of course now I am on that special client list, so I had to wait for 'management' to call me back. They never did. I subscribed to Orange Theory and I am so happy with my choice. read more

Gold's Laval is the most expensive gym I have ever signed up to yet, a) Their management is rude and incompetent. b) A 24/7 service is included their cost but since the start of covid they some the most narrow opening hours I am aware of. c) They charge you for the entire billing period even when covid related restrictions cause them close. Not only will they not reimburse you, they will not let the surplus of the subscription period you have payed for run down before continuing to charge you the current period. They claim the time payed for while the gyms were closed will be added to the end contract. I guess will see. They do however, have great upkeep of their equipment and clean their facilities regularly. 50 -60$ a month to get robbed and disrespected. Stay Away!! read more

I was satisfied with the staff and the service of Gold's Gym Laval Quebec,Canada until I start having problems with my payments, I took a 3 months Gold's burn program and they kept taking the payments after the ending of the program on my credit card I tried several times to speak to the Manager Nadah to solve the situation and she simply gave me the worst Customer Service ever not even taking the time to talk to me, she refused to refund me and when I said that I would like to cancel the membership she also charged the cancellation fees of the contract. What type of Manager is this one that do not take the time to serve clients and don't take ownership of client's problem resolution, I went for three consecutive days trying to solve the situation. Very spacious facility and a lot of diverse equipment which is great as people want to have diversity in training. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I loved that gym as an active member for almost 2 years for its great facilities, cleanliness and friendly staff. However, be warned that admin will not make one move to make your life easier if something goes wrong. Because of COVID closures, the contract got pushed back for the duration of the lockdown but now I need to move away from the area and will not be able to continue using that gym. Despite the unusual circumstances, the admin will not cancel the contract and tells you to look for a person who will take over the membership (which, after a month of trying, proved to be quite difficult). Gym is ok. Pool is quite big. They also have a cinema room where you can watch movie and exercise at the same time. What really bugs me is their focus on getting our information, just to get pricing. I can understand if they want to know the name of the person, but asking for name, surname, date of birth, full home address, home phone number, cell number is ridiculous. And all of that information must be filled out before they can give any pricing. I have been in a situation like this years ago and was victim of identity theft. I wanted to join gym so I can take my son for swimming. Gold gym allows only one day a week. In the end, I joined another gym as they provided excellent customer care, cheaper and I can take my son for swimming everyday. read more

Overall very very nice looking gym. Extremely modern and well equipped, the surface of the gym is very impressive. The quality of the equipment is nice and shows that the owner displayed all standards of a Golds franchise. This will be a beautiful gym once everything is completed but opening was premature in certain aspects. Certain areas of the gym are not completed. Although billing has not started yet so we can't foresee how this will impact perception of fees. It will be a customer service test. As for that aspect, staff is courteous and ready to give you a full tour if you ask. Even though, I wish they would of completed most sections to offer the full package and impress even more upon opening, the gym as it is now is already a class above most gyms in Laval. Just be wary that you cannot cancel your membership after your first 30 days have passed. If you try you will see a painful process and rude employees. Forget about transferring as well, they will raise the price and charge you a 49$ + tx fee. I am moving far and cannot go, yet I am forced to pay for the full year. read more
