Markstrasse...on the mark. Sorry, corny...I know, but this street is definitely a destination for cute cafes, great shopping, and the like. Get there.
I popped into Goldmarie with a few minutes to spare between meetings and was pleasantly surprised to find a funky shop with a well-curated selection of clothing, accessories (seems to be more heavily focused on accessories), purses, belts, scarves and some fun trinkets.
Fun fact: in the back section there is a lone hairdressing station with chair, mirror, etc. It seems like it was literally dropped in here unannounced, and during my visit nary was a haircut to be had...but I wonder, do they do this here? Does it seem strange to get one's hair cut amidst new clothing? Does hair get into the clothes? Not that I could see...but perhaps someone can explain to me. It's something I'd never seen!
Mission accomplished: a super cool beige/orange "boombox" scarf (29) and necklace (15) for a good pal's birthday...super funky, not expensive, with love from Germany.
Wish I had more time to spend along this street...if they are all as cool as this spot (and they appear to be), you'll be in for a treat.
