The business is really busy this time of year, so you might wait a half day or a day to reach him, but it will be within 24 hrs. Tim, certainly kept his father's legacy, name and establishment well respected. When Tim Alfortish came for the estimate, I was very pleased. He made me feel he was happy to have me as a new customer. He wrote all and everything I wanted and listened to the issues facing us. The husband and wife contractor team that came out was the best I've ever seen operating in the city. Duane( contractor) have been with Westside Fence for 50+ years. Duane started out with Tim's father. Duane's wife(contractor) is a long standing asset to her husband. The way they worked together and to have every part of the job synced, is not only awesome as it is hard to fathom. They work with the property borders and made sure to keep property lines as they found them. Pam has every bit of Duane's moves covered, for what he needs in the process, and also her own jobs assigned, as part of the building and development of their product process. Their young intern,Eric, is exceptionally skilled and he is so fortunate to work under Duane and Pam. There was nothing he couldn't do that was required of him. Te professionalism he is being taught under is a position to die for, for any young man or woman. OK young ladies, don't go hog wild over this beautiful specimen of god's creation. OOOOOh doggie! Duane and Pam gave me a time for every day that they would arrive. Talk about prompt, I had no time to put the second eyebrow on, when the call would come in from Pam "we're here". I was elated! I just had to keep winking until I went inside so they couldn't notice, huh, whachoo saaay gurl, Dat'right, dats how top o'the line this company is, ya'll. Duane and Pam's eyes are so blue, Ah thought ah was in dah Bahamas ya'll, uh huh. I didn't have debris left in yard, everything was left clean, the gate and fencing was superb, the old overly damaged fence was removed, new and beautiful fence was put in back into place, replacing the damaged fence, and I was truly relieved and pleased. Duane and his wife and crew worked from the time they arrived, until, the time they left except for a brief lunch. Duane had everything he needed to do the job. I can recognize his work now, all over this area. Call Tim Alfortish for an estimate, tell him where you heard about them. All you new residents to Nu'Awlins , you now have the info. The good: I got my fence motor fixed. And that summarizes the good…read more The bad: 1) company took a 400$ deposit , for two weeks, when I followed up I just got a moving date for the part to arrive. 2 weeks is a long time to have my deposit and no satisfactory response. 2) technician took one of my remotes by mistake, company couldnt figure out whether technician had it or not, even promised me a new one. The original appeared eventually. 3) $225 for a commercial service fee, never mentioned. On the final bill, and the original discussion was 400$ for the appointment to b adjusted at final bill. Bottom line : their estimates are NOT free. The 225 took away most of the 400 deposit so whats the use? 4) the fenced is not balanced and doesn't close properly, it was mentioned that it would be fixed, NOT. Wanted 250$ for 2 manpower hours. The whole bill was $1335 with parts and labor. Cant thighten a screw as a cortesy, and totally leave the gates proper? Very disappointed, prices excessive , I dont recommend. Company has to be at the high end, there must b companies out there more reasonable.

The technician was very professional and extremely helpful. Not only did he repair the issue that I set up the appointment for, but he fixed several other issues that we were having with the doors and remotes. Based upon what was repaired, I believe that the cost was a great value. I am very pleased and will recommend them to friends.

These guys came out to my business June of 2025 to replace a broken spring on our bay door. The…read moredoor worked fine after they left and did so for EXACTLY one year. Fast-forward to July (9th to be specific) of 2026 and the bar for the spring has now snapped in half. I called ACE to see if it was still under warranty and not only did they tell me "no", they said that there would be a $400 charge for them to come out and look at it PLUS an additional $200/hr labor PLUS parts. Keep in mind, they just removed this bar just over 52 weeks ago. Their guy was the last one to have his hands on it. My building is less than 1/4 mile away from them and they just worked on this 55 weeks ago and they won't even come out to see if their guy did something wrong with the installation or if he missed other parts that should have been changed originally. These bars don't just snap for no reason and I suspect their guy didn't change the bearings when he had the bar off for the spring change last year. Regardless, this is a company that is either so desparate for money that they can't do jobs right to begin with or they're so desparate for money that they have to get pedantic over warranty windows and rake people over the coals just to get their service fee. Either way, NOT a good look for anyone looking to keep commercial business. I can not and will not ever recommend anyone call ACE for service. There are lots of other mom and pop companies out there that will make sure the job is done correctly to begin with or they'll recognize that warranty windows are not something they should take hard stances on and be willing to accept that their work should last YEARS longer than the warranty states. Let's face it... NO ONE would put up with a vehicle that falls apart and stops working the moment the warranty expires. Why should we accept this level of service from garage door companies??? ACE... If you're reading this, understand that this is REALLY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE and it's a really bad look. You should do MUCH better by your customers.
