Note the school has only been in operation for 5 years. If you choose this school, and if you get sucked into giving of your time, talents and money (beyond tuition), just know there is a high risk that you may one day suddenly not be beneficial enough for him and his school. You will have done nothing whatsoever to bring negativity to him or his school; there will be no discussion, no warning, just an overnight decision to have you gone and permanently banned from the property. This very thing has happened to 13 people, in 6 years. That is a high percentage for a school that averages 50 to 60 students (including leadership) at any given time. And if you are looking to earn a nationally recognized black belt with registered Dan numbers, this isn't the school for you.

Chris' expertise in multiple martial arts, boxing, strength conditioning and self defense (just to name a few) is the best bar none. Chris has an amazing ability to tap into your potential far beyond what you feel capable of doing and this is where Chris really shines...his ability to customize workouts to meet your individual needs is truly impressive. Chris makes the entire experience empowering and FUN. I feel every woman, man and child should also partake in Chris' self defense program ( I am about to repeat it for the 3rd time). It is truly essential that everyone be educated, empowered and PREPARED to protect not only themselves, but possibly others from potentially dangerous situations that can happen in our world, no matter how safe you think you are. Chris Williams aka The Adrenalizer is your go to man to keep you HEALTHY, STRONG and SAFE. I strongly suggest you sign up for an introductory session with Chris and also watch others who have been training with him. Once you see Chris in action, I highly doubt you would not be impressed with what Chris has to offer and sign up to experience a training method like you've never had before. Your body will feel completely different in so many ways! **Lastly, I have to comment on whomever left Chris a single star. It is obvious they never did partake in a class with him or train with him. Such a review secondary to it's irrelevance should be completely disregarded.

After searching the internet, I found this traditional Aikido dojo located right here in Denver. We were so impressed with the size - not that size matters, but this dojo is 5 or 6 times bigger than the other small dojos I was considering and having a large mat to practice on allows the kids to flow, run, and move more freely, helping them to perfect their techniques without running into a wall. Also, this dojo wins hands down on perfecting such an authentic traditional feeling that it is like we are literally practicing Aikido in Japan. The quality of the instructors was another reason I ended up taking classes as well. I now have all three of my kids taking Aikido and I recommend it to parents who are interested in a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment with some of the best instructors I have found. Also, the kids classes are so affordable that even parents with larger families can afford to have all the kids taking lessons. The best perk is that this dojo is connected to the best Japanese restaurant in the Nation! We love to eat at Domo right after kids class! I highly recommend Aikido Nippon Kan.

The kids loved the games and safety lessons from Ms. Michelle. She did a fantastic job keeping 9 kids in line and having fun. They were exceptionally accommodating and served the kids their snacks and cake without my husband and I really ever lifting a finger. His approach to teaching is enlightened and lacks hype and ego, which, for martial arts, is appropriate. My child is enrolled at Denwakan; she had a black belt already in another martial art and I wanted her to get busted down to white and learn something new -- again, with no ego. I could not have made a better choice. I drive a good distance to take her to this dojo and it's 100% worth it. If you're looking to learn a martial art or want your child to join a quality dojo, you CANNOT do better than Denwakan Karate. The emphasis here isn't on combat or even defense (although of course that is taught and taught well), it's on learning the values of respect and honor, it's on quieting the mind and harnessing our energy to be used in the best way possible. I cannot think of anyone better to teach these lessons than Sensei Kurobane, and that's a fact.
