Tresp Law File No. 23-01791…read more After approximately three years of representation, the mineral deed issue became the final straw in Plaintiff's dissatisfaction with Tresp Law. Under the settlement, Defendants were responsible for causing one-half of a specified royalty interest to be transferred to Plaintiff. Tresp Law stepped in and represented that it could handle the deed preparation more quickly and less expensively than if Defendants continued handling it themselves. Tresp Law then spent months researching, preparing, and recording the deed, and Plaintiff paid the firm for that work. The deed was recorded on February 24, 2026. Plaintiff terminated the attorney-client relationship on March 4, 2026. Tresp Law itself acknowledges that the deed work was performed while it represented Plaintiff and that the purpose of that work was to carry out the transfer required by the settlement. After the representation ended, the operator responsible for administering the royalty interest advised that problems existed with the deed and that corrective documentation was required before the interest could be properly divided. Plaintiff requested a refund of the deed-preparation fees. Tresp Law refused. In its August 26, 2026 response, the firm stated that the deed had "conveyed to you an undivided one-half interest, as the Settlement Agreement contemplated," despite the operator's determination that corrective documentation was required. Tresp Law's position appears to be that because it researched, prepared, and recorded a deed, the work was "performed and completed." Plaintiff's position is very different: the firm was paid to prepare a legal instrument that accomplished a specific transfer, not merely to produce and record a document. For Plaintiff, Tresp Law's refusal to refund the fees or otherwise accept responsibility for a deed that required corrective work represents a refusal to stand behind the result of its own legal work. This review addresses only the mineral deed issue. There is considerably more to Plaintiff's three-year experience with Tresp Law. Additional video reviews addressing specific communications, billing issues, litigation decisions, and supporting documents will be published on various social media platforms so viewers can review the record and reach their own conclusions. One of Plaintiff's broader frustrations with Tresp Law was the distinction between work being performed and the case actually moving forward. Plaintiff often felt that tasks were completed, time was billed, and invoices were generated without a corresponding sense that the litigation had materially advanced. In Plaintiff's opinion, a client should not confuse activity with progress. And perhaps that is the larger point. If Tresp Law devoted as much energy to efficient, careful, results-oriented work for its clients as Plaintiff believes it devotes to disputing or attempting to remove unfavorable public reviews, Plaintiff's experience with the firm might have been very different. In Plaintiff's opinion, a law firm's reputation is better protected by the quality of its work than by trying to control criticism of that work. Plaintiff is prepared to post the relevant emails, invoices, recorded deed, operator correspondence, and other supporting documentation so readers can review the underlying record for themselves and reach their own conclusions.

*AI SLOP* DO NOT HIRE…read more I hired Kayla and her firm to review a commercial lease and advise me on a minor billing dispute with my landlord (a $15 administrative fee on a third party bill). From the start, I made it clear that this wasn't about the amount, but about standing up for what was right under the terms of my lease. They said they could help. What I received in return for roughly six hours of billed time (around $2,400) was a memorandum that read exactly like what people call "AI slop" generic, repetitive, and almost entirely restating what I had already written in my own intake summary email. There was no meaningful legal analysis or application of the lease provisions, and several of my questions were completely ignored or misunderstood. It was exactly as if I just copied and pasted the email I sent to them and generated a "lease review". I went and tried it myself and got almost EXACTLY the same "lease review". It really missed the human element. An entire paragraph was dedicated to how if it wasn't a third party bill then they are correct in charging me this. This paragraph was the most obvious giveaway as I made it clear by uploading the bill and stating it on the phone this is a third party bill. This didn't make it to the AI slop "lease review" they generated because in my email text it wasn't specified, and typical of AI responses, they touch all the bases. When I followed up to clarify, the responses continued to miss the point. It felt like a mix of human element with AI assistance even with my communications with Kayla, so it caused a few email back and forths. I raised concern that the memo appeared to have been prepared using AI or some automated drafting tool, since it lacked the depth and reasoning expected of an attorney. That question was never addressed. To make matters worse, after taking on my case fully aware of the limited monetary value of the dispute, I was told only after the bill was run up that the issue was too small for the firm to pursue -- and that I should handle it myself in small claims court. This experience felt unprofessional, ethically questionable, and entirely inconsistent with the transparency expected under the California Rules of Professional Conduct. I do not recommend this firm for anyone expecting a genuine attorney review or personalized legal work. Furthermore I stand by my claim that what I received was AI slop, and am happy to share with anyone what I received so they can see it for themselves. Email me at boba29428@gmail.com if you're interested. As far as I'm concerned I paid $2400 for AI slop and a few back and forth emails to clarify AI slop.

I came to Moreno and Associates on the recommendation of a close friend, in regards to my petition…read morefor Citizenship for my mother. After attempting to complete the difficult process of petitioning for citizenship ON MY OWN with no legal help, my mothers' case dragged on for over 5 years and we hit road block after road block as many do during this process. I found myself in desperate need for legal help when my mother was called for final interview in Juarez, and took the risk of returning to Mexico for the first time in 24 years. My mother found herself denied of her Visa and penalized 10 years for unlawful presence in the US. This is when I came to Immigration Attorney, Andres Moreno for help. Coming to Moreno and Associates was the best decision I ever made, and it ultimately changed not only my mother's life, but mine and my family's' as well. I scheduled a meeting with Mr. Moreno, and he immediately put me at ease aster carefully listening to every detail of my mother's case from beginning to end. Mr. Moreno was empathetic, genuine, and efficient in all he did. He seemed very well educated and knowledgeable in the immigration process and very confident in the handling of my mother's case. Staff at Moreno and Associates always kept me well informed and offered assistance whenever I had any questions. Mr. Moreno was very transparent and always made himself available to make sure I fully understood every aspect of the process. I entrusted Mr. Moreno with the difficult, and seemingly impossible challenge of getting my mother back to the U.S. MR.MORENO CAME THROUGH. He not only helped me appeal and expedite my mother's waiver, but on January 25th 2017, my mother was granted her Visa and was able to return to the U.S. to be reunited with her family. Had it not been for Mr. Moreno's SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, PROFESSIONALISM, and overall genuine DEDICATION to his clients; along with his entire team and incredible and diligent staff, my mother would not be here today. I STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend Moreno and Associates for anyone seeking Immigration services. They made the impossible, possible. And on behalf of myself and my family, we could not be any more grateful for their services and all their support. HIGHLY recommend.

Although we did not move forward with services through Moreno and Associates, I'd like to share my…read morenegative experience filled with inconsistencies before we were even set to start services with the firm. The free consultation where fees and the overall case is discussed went great with the lawyer himself. He gave us a firm price for his services and furthermore discussed steps, details, and answered any questions we had. When we decided to start the process days later and came back to the office, the receptionist was the point of contact and she herself presented the contract and went over fees, clauses, etc. At this time, it was mentioned that the fee might be higher than what the lawyer had discussed with me if there was complications in the case. I totally understand the fact that they work hourly and that might increase the fee, but I would have appreciated the lawyer mentioning that in the first consultation to take in consideration all aspects of what hiring a lawyer for my case would entail. I also made it clear that the person that would be submitting the down payment lived far from the firm and could not physically attend to provide his credit card as he also worked the same hours the office opens. The receptionist assured me that there was no problem-- a link would be sent to the person paying and they could submit their payment through that portal without them having to be physical present. Once I saw that the fee could potentially increase, I decided to hold off on signing a contract since I wanted to discuss that factor with my family members that were part of the case. I did not sign or agree to any service just yet, and at that moment no payment was submitted. After thorough discussion with the rest of my family we decided to proceed with services and decided to call that same receptionist. She informed us that since we did not respond their calls, that the person paying would have to personally attend the office and payment through a portal would no longer be accepted. When I asked why we could no longer send a payment through the link provided, she informed me that it was due to me not answering that phone call to follow up with my case (that again had not been paid for, nor agreed to any type of contract yet). I did not fully understand why that option was no longer available to us when at first she offered that flexibility. She kept saying that it was because we did not follow up with them, again with a service that we had not agreed to pay yet and a contract had not been signed. I asked for specific reasons and instead of bringing up policies (which I would have completely understood), she started to talk over me and kept repeating to book an appointment directly with the lawyer to further discuss the case. I was asking genuine questions and was met with a passive aggressive tone and no sense of reasoning. She seemed annoyed that I was asking for further explanation. To my understanding, the option that was first presented to me was no longer available because we did not give them a call back to give them a decision quick enough? The person paying could no longer pay online and would have to come into the office when I had thoroughly explained our situation to her from the very beginning. Although I can't speak on the lawyer's work itself, I think this negative experience gives the company a bad image and ultimately shows a lack of professionalism essential to this line of work; a place where transparency is crucial. I think as a receptionist, essentially the face of your first interaction with the company, you should not behave like it's just another call center and express passive aggressive attitudes like talking over what you're asking/saying, not be able to provide reasoning behind the information being shared, and overall convey insecurity, doubt, and precariousness. It honestly makes the law firm seem untrustworthy. Small details like this really come in to play when choosing representation for important legal matters. As other reviews mention, this firm seems to lack basic professionalism and transparent communication.
