Our greeting by Lucy and Mandy were so very warm and genuine....thank you. The pleasant situation of this exceptonal restaurant by a lovely duck pond on the outskirts of Storrington, make it a really enjoyable experience to eat out. Spacious and well lit the ambience is relaxing and offers an outstanding service. A well balanced and varied menu offers diners an excellent choice including vegan and vegetarian. Poultry and meats are so well cooked, as is all the food. Prices are comparable with other "eateries", and will not break the bank. Lovely window seating overlooking the duck pond offers a very peaceful and calm feeling. Parking is on-street, but limited...can park near the open space by the cricket ground. Highly recommended

The staff are really great and the service is impeccable. The starters are worth over-ordering! They really are nice - especially the crispy duck. We usually go there for lunch as its a lot quieter than the dinner service. They do a special two course lunch for £8.90 which I think is great value for money. Check out the take away service too, it tastes just as good as eating in if you don't want to miss anything on the TV!

Someone who cooks excellent Chinese food, that is. Service is attentive and friendly, prices are reasonable (especially for a posh little Surrey village). The chef can do wonderful things with tofu. Definitely recommended!

Beijing is a restaurant in the centre of Horsell village that serves quality Chinese food in a…read moretraditional and highly decorative environment. The restaurant is quite darkly lit which can be a pain, but there are nice touches such as the large fish tank near the entrance which is full of interesting fish to watch if you're waiting for a table or sitting at the bar. The menu contains a variety of standard Chinese dishes, which lean to towards the more expensive spectrum of cost, but the presentation often is also an experience in itself and the food is indeed very tasty. Our starter came with a squirrel hand carved out of a carrot once, which was different! Beijing also offer a takeaway service which is of similar standard to their eat in menu, although it would be advisable to order from the China Chef takeaway restaurant across the road, which is cheaper, has an identical menu, and mysteriously often seems to use materials such as bags from Beijing.

It's a chinese buffet restaurant, pretty good value for money - especially at lunchtimes…read more The food varies in choice, depending on what time of day you go, mostly good, hot and freshly prepared. There's more of a selection in the evening than at lunchtime and that's reflected in the price. The waiting staff (bizarrely for a Chinese restaurant, none are Chinese - in fact mostly Polish, which is not bizarre for Basingstoke!) are quite attentive and always clear your plate away almost the second you've finished eating. The restaurant itself is actually underground, which is a little odd, but the decor is quite contemporary and light so you don't actually notice the fact that there are no windows - although the table layout does resemble a staff canteen and you do sometimes end up sitting quite close to other couples. This is not a Chinese for a romantic meal out, but one to go with colleagues for lunch or take the kids to. Overall, if you're looking for good value chinese food where you can eat till you're totally stuffed for a fraction of the price of a traditional Chinese, then the Wusungdan is the place to go. Incidentally, if you're disabled or have young kids there's a rear entrance with a lift for wheelchairs and pushchairs, as the front entrance has a staircase only. They also now do a takeaway service too.
