Sean runs a fishing charter from Rice lake and Lake Simcoe and depending on the time of the year and how the fishing is at the time, Sean makes a recommendation on location and itinerary. Since our charter was in the late fall, Sean suggested we meet him on lake Simcoe. We drove up to meet Sean at a marina and he came with bait, all the fishing rods, pfd and everything else we would need to enjoy the day on the water fishing. We went out on his pontoon boat and felt very comfy and safe. Sean took care of putting all the baits on our hooks and showed us how to fish for the infamous lake Simcoe yellow belly perch. As you can see from the photos, we had an epic day of fishing! We were so impressed with Sean's attentive and friendly service, we are booked to go ice fishing with him soon. He took us to catch bait fish then we on out to two spots fish were not bait that good then he took out more then we started catching Sharks. which was so much fun. I can't wait to go back fishing with them again. Also Jason the fish hand was very nice and and he baited are hooks, took the fish off the hooks and he cleaned them when we got back to the dock. The Boat was awesome it hand lots for room for 6 of us. I loved the was a bathroom and if you got to hot you could go in cabin and cool off. Over all it was a great!!!

Lynde shores is a magical place where you can take a leisurely stroll and be completely immersed in…read morenature in less than 30 min outside of Toronto. Well laid out paths lead you through a short hike where you can encounter wild life such as wild turkeys, chipmunks and variety of songbirds, many of whom are happy to eat right out of your hands.l which is such a treat for the kids. My daughter lovingly calls this place, "chickadee trail" as we've spent a lot of time there from when she was just a toddler. She still loves visiting this place and I love it for the quite activity we can do together, away from devices and noisy play places. If you haven't been here yet, it's definitely worth a visit!

(I went when the weather was still very cold) Now for an FYI: you will most likely see animals. Please be kind and try not to disrupt them as they eat their food or wade in the water. Very cool overall experience to be in such close proximity of them. Almost reminded me of some hikes I did in Alberta where you would see deer on the trail. This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

We have stayed there at times when dock hands were sent out to assist us tie up upon our arrival and we have stayed there at times when they have not. Facilities our clean. They offer wash room facilities and laundry facilities (fees apply). Rates to stay are competitive with other marinas along the Canadian shoreline. Power and fresh water at the slips. Staff are friendly and helpful. Fuel / full service station on location. WiFi available at the slips. Shops, restaurants, and a large beach all within walking distance of the marina. Area also offers a farmer's market (check with chamber of commerce for schedule) and often times free festivals and outdoor - live entertainment. We would return to this marina again.

Great little place to stay - small cottage. We chose 14 which included one bunk bed, a double bed,…read moreand a sofa bed. There is even a fridge and freezer! They included pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, dish soap. No air conditioning but they have oscillating fans - luckily our stay wasn't too hot. We found this place on Airbnb but decided to check their website for a better price without as many fees, tuee helped me process the deposit and reserve our cottage a month in advance We bought firewood from their store (only $11), and from a stand nearby, corn and ice cream. We were also able to roast marshmallows and potatoes in a foil, in the fire pit. Loved being able to swim in their pool (was cold though as it's not heated) and the lake, being able to kayak (single or double persons, and try stand up paddle boarding. They said they have eggs and butter but throughout our stay, they didn't have either. People also bring stuff to fish - we didn't try fishing Bring $200 for deposit in cash for easiest return. They have an arts/kids room with dollar tree items (like the standing unicorn), but it's nice to provide an indoor space for kids to play in. They say it's only available to play if you purchase crafts from them. You have to bring your own bedding and towels, or can rent - 4 sets cost $60. We have to throw our own trash and keep the place clean for next guests The cuttings of grass was quite annoying because after we walked to our cottage, all the grass stuck to our feet and legs and into the cottage. They cut grass every day we were there. The broom didn't have a dustpan to get rid of all the cuttings inside the cottage They also have a small discount for return visitors.
