Don't let the small area fool you though. They sell a lot of products for different kinds of animals and animal needs including birds and rabbits. But what sets this store apart from the others is their products for fish and other aquatic animals. Other stores focus mainly on cats and dogs but this does not set the wet critters aside. They have aquariums, accessories, fish feeds and even live worms for the big, carnivorous kinds. Each time I grab a bite to eat, I usually stand in front of their window display while watching the caged dogs (sometimes there's even a cat) and finishing my sandwich or whatever. When I went inside their store, and checked out what they sell for dogs, I noticed that the selection was quite limited. They only sold a few accessories and treats. But what I appreciated is that they cater to more kinds of animals. Unlike the other pet stores that focus mainly on dogs and cats, they also have accessories and feeds for rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. They also sell aquariums and other accessories for our aquatic friends. So I guess that can be considered as the strength of this jack-of-all trades pet shop.

But recently we adopted a cute little puppy into our home, and I've developed a tolerance (if not liking) for pets. If you asked me to go to the Pet Village in Tiendesitas a month ago, I would've said no in a heartbeat. But I went recently and I actually enjoyed going there. Apart from the pungent canine odor, the place felt like doggy day spa. Get your pet groomed at the posh pet salons there or buy them costumes and treats available at several stores. There were also some stalls selling puppies and cats, and the look of those poor little fellas waiting to find a new home tugged at my heart strings. Not that I'm going to adopt them or anything. My little girl really enjoyed that part of Tiendesitas. She wanted to stay there longer, but I was afraid it would trigger our allergies so we had to go. I promised her we'd go back there with our puppy, if I can manage the long ride from the south to Pasig with two kids and a dog.
