We started with 5 painters. We had a strict budget and wanted to paint as many rooms as our budget would allow. Three flaked out before we even had them out to the house for a quote. One quoted us more and couldn't come out for a few weeks which left us with Robert from Gold Seal. He returned my call within hours of my original message and was very communicative over the phone. We wanted to remove wallpaper from several rooms and he quoted me (over the phone) the highest price if it turned out to be a difficult job. I don't know about everyone else, but give me worst-case-scenario when it comes to money. Once he arrived the job turned out to be much simpler. He suggested painting the ceiling (after all, we were saving money on the wallpaper removal), which ended up making a wonderful difference. He also works well under pressure. We had 5 days to get the entire job done before move-in and he met the deadline, even though it involved him staying late some nights and arriving really early the morning of the move. We had an issue with the ceiling paint overflowing onto our white walls we didn't intend on painting - but he matched and touched up the wall paint (at no extra cost) and you can hardly tell. Overall he was professional, friendly, COMMUNICATIVE (a problem area we ran into with other painters) and did a great job. We will definitely be calling him when we're ready to paint again! read more

I took bids from 4 of the Yelp top-rated painting companies to paint the entire interior of my new home. Gold Seal Painting (Robert) came in WAY less than the rest and was CONSIDERABLY more communicative before, during and after the estimate process. Honestly, I was shocked by how attentive he was in his communication -- a breath of fresh air. He promised the job would be done in 4 days (when the rest said 5-6) and IT WAS. He started the job the day after I awarded it to him whereas the rest of the companies couldn't start for 4-5 days. He kept us abreast of any and all concerns which were few, and kept me updated constantly. He and his team even kept going when they city accidentally turned off our water. The job was completed on time and it looked truly amazing. I've already recommended him to others on message boards. I'm going to have them paint our exterior in the next few years. I can't imagine even considering anyone else. read more

We used Gold Seal for a 2nd time in the last 15yrs or so to have the outside of our home painted and once again - we were extremely satisfied. Additionally, we had him stain and seal our pool pavilion and both jobs came out great! He was professional, completed both jobs within a few days time and again, the end result was amazing - would recommend him, and have, to anyone! read more

Robert was fantastic. I saw his services on Groupon and contacted him before purchasing it. He was a terrific communicator. We was patient and worked around my busy travel schedule with work. He did the estimate while I was work and we made arrangements for him to come talk paint colors one evening. I am very pleased with his services and re job he did. I had the whole outside of my house done and it looks terrific! I plan on getting him to paint the inside when I'm ready! read more

Robert went above and beyond with the painting of our house. The original paint we picked out to which he started to paint was not the color we truly wanted. It looked completely different. I was unsure and didn't want the entire house to be that color. He was so amazing and took the extra time to allow us to pick another color and started over. Words can't express how appreciative we are of him to take the extra time to ensure we had the right color. I would use Robert/Gold Star Painting for any painting project over and over and I would refer him to all my friends and family. Thank you Robert! You were amazing to work with and can't wait to work with you again! read more

Made my house look new again! Hired Gold Seal Painting and was glad I did. After getting several bids for the exterior paint job on my two story house, Robert's bid was the most reasonably priced. He repaired some siding damage around the patio, cleaned & power washed the limestone & siding, caulked where needed and used Sherwin-Williams Duration paint. Everything was completed within 4 days! Also a plus, he lives close by in my Cedar Park neighborhood. Gold Seal Painting gets my best recommendation! read more

Charlie arrived right on time at 8 am, and he worked quickly and neatly on my bedroom. My room proved a challenge because the color was layered with several colors in a spatter effect, all much darker than the new color. Also, I wasn't able to remove a shelf on the wall and an IKEA window panel track off the ceiling before he arrived, but Charlie took care of all of that, no extra charge. He also pointed out that the previous paint job's baseboard trim wasn't caulked properly, and he took care of that. Best of all, Charlie was very pleasant and cheerful and seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. He even thanked me, telling me that my job was a pleasure to do. My bedroom is now quite lovely. I would gladly call Gold Seal again and refer them to others. read more

We had a very good experience with Gold Seal. They did a complete exterior paint job on our single-story house plus repairs to some rotted wood. Punctual, professional, did what they said they'd do and within the time frame promised. The work was high quality and built to last. We are really pleased. I would absolutely recommend. read more

I wouldn't hesitate to work with Gold Seal again. Robert gave us a great price and fast service. The work quality was good, and he came back himself to to do some touchups. If you need your house painted, give them a call. read more

The painter was an hour late, was hard to communicate with since he only spoke Spanish, and he talked on the phone a couple of times (again in Spanish). He got paint on a brand new counter top and it only got worse when he tried to clean it up. I had to instruct him on parts he had missed (large areas), did only one coat and I had to go back myself to touch up the spots he had missed. Didn't paint the cabinet doors in room, but I didn't mind so much since I wanted him gone. I was hoping to find a painter to come back and paint the interior doors, but this company was not it. read more

I asked for bids from various people and Robert at Gold Seal Painting was the only one that followed through with me through the entire quote process to start the job. We got the exterior of our home painted right around Christmas and Robert was probably more eager than I was to complete the job. He and his team did a great job at a very reasonable price. Our house looks great and we are very satisfied with the job. Robert had timely and professional communication and even texted us pictures of our house when he finished (since we were still out of town for the holidays). Quick and impressive work. We are very pleased with Gold Seal Painting and would use them again. Thank you! read more

I've used the Gold Seal team on a couple of previous homes. I'm reaching out to them again for another room that I need painted. Robert and his group are my go to painters. read more

Their bid was lowest, and they gave great service and quality work. Be assured they will deliver what they promise. My husband did some professional painting in his younger years, and our standards are high. Our house looks great! read more

Gold Seal painting gets 5 stars in my review for several reasons: First, Robert came to our home promptly (only 1 day after my call) and gave us a very reasonable estimate for the painting work. Next, Steven reported two days later, on time and ready to work. His painting was exceptional, and customer service excellent. He was kind, courteous and professional in every way. Both Robert and Steven exceeded my expectations for a home painting company. Finally, I consider myself a perfectionist, especially when a company is working on our home. Gold Seal exceeded my expectations in every way! Steven went above and beyond, especially in the small details that made me very pleased with his work! read more

Wow, reading over the other reviews....again.....I realize that either I had a random horrible experience with them or everyone else has overrated them. I started off with a groupon for a small bedroom knowing in the back of my mind that I was testing them to see if they were worthy to do the rest of my home. Robert came out and gave me a decent quote for everything that I wanted to do for the rest of my home. HOWEVER...when they did the initial groupon room they did a terrible job! I'm not sure if they did one coat instead of two or just half-assed it. When I called them to come back it took way too long. I refused to have them do anything else inside my home but agreed to let them do some exterior work. Two months later I have not heard back from them. There must be a better painter around, stay away from these turds!! They only get the second star because they eventually did finish the original promised groupon room satisfactorily. read more

Don't offer a Living Social deal, then get bothered when customers try to redeem them or inquire about it!

He has painted my house, my neighbor's house, two of my friend's homes... Does a GREAT job and is very thorough and clean. He completed the whole exterior paint job in 2 days. House looks perfect, price was great. read more

Let me be clear in beginning with that this is my first review ever to do on Yelp and for good reason. More than anything, I want other young homeowners and families to be aware of Robert and his team. Two and a half years ago, we hired Robert and his crew to do our ceilings (remove popcorn and texture), along with paint the entire house as we were expecting our 2nd child and moving into a new home, closer to my husband's office. At the time of the job, the ceilings looked ok (we don't know anything about popcorn and texture) we knew that there weren't obtrusive things hanging from the ceiling as before. The paint job was horrible, not only did we have to ask him to come back 5+ times, but also we were still unhappy with how we could see the old, ugly color through his work even afterward. Not to mention, tape wasn't used, we had to request it for clean lines and the floors weren't covered - we still find paint spots on the tile and laminate years later. Fast forward to now, we are currently doing a renovation on our home and have found out more information. Our builder and professional wall/sheet rock man, cannot believe the work that was done; their words, not mine "He just took your money and ran. There was no work done, he removed the popcorn and left it." The builder and professional painter, also commented on the walls and paint and could not understand why Robert and his team would choose such low quality, bottom of the line paint for a family home. Again, their words, not mine, "This is the cheapest stuff that you could use, that's why it hasn't even lasted 2 years." Needless to say, we are extremely upset and would rate the company a 0, if possible.. The professional texture/wall and painter men wish that Robert and his crew would come and do their job correctly because we now have a situation where they will have do do extra work to correct his disastrous job. Along with, use appropriate paint throughout the house, not flat, low quality paint that you would use on a ceiling, not even that. I know that there are other positive reviews and I cannot understand how or why. We feel that Robert and his team took advantage of us and our situation and would never recommend him to anyone. read more

Robert the owner is a true professional. He did a tremendous job painting the exterior of my house in record time (and in the 104 degree heat, I might add). He was very honest with what could and couldn't be done and I find his prices very reasonable. I recommend!! read more

Rob was able to schedule us quickly and his team finished the job ahead of schedule. Will use again.

Gold Seal Painting's service was just exceptional. Robert was a true professional in working with us on the quote and the actual work, and it was very easy to deal with. Even when we changed our minds on the colors and requirements, he patiently worked with us and gave his suggestions. The price that he gave us was also very competitive, and the work was started and completed on time. Robert was very trust worthy and I highly recommend him! read more

We hired Gold Seal Painting to paint 4 rooms in our brand new house. Robert was very prompt and responsive from the very first phone call. The two men that did the paint job were good too. Just a few minor details which were taken care of. One of the men left our water hose running slowly outside and once we realized it, I called Robert and he came the next day to reimburse us for some of the water bill. There was also some paint spatter on our window sills which weren't cleaned up. Robert came himself and did the touch up for us. Overall we're really happy with work performed and would definitely hire them again! read more

I am extremely pleased with the work done by Robert and Jose. We hired them to paint the exterior of our home and a stairwell. They were professional and courteous through the whole job. Very careful, very conscientious, always careful not to leave a mess. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Not only was Gold Seal very reasonably priced, they finished the job ahead of schedule. I cannot recommend them enough, and will absolutely use them for future projects. My house went from drab to beautiful. read more

We contacted about 5 different painters to have the outside of our house painted. Three of the quotes where from big (National advertised brands), and 2 smaller local companies (Gold Seal being one of them). When I contacted Robert at gold seal he was very nice and came out to do the estimate when I wasn't home due to my work schedule. He was very accommodating to my very busy schedule. He emailed me the quote and he was a lot less than everyone else using the same brand of Paint and getting some of the rotted cedar trim around a few windows replaced. I contacted him and he came out to go over the job before they started, they started a few days later (They were finishing up another job). It took them 2 days and the house looks amazing. It looks like a brand new house. Robert and his staff are very professional and cleaned everything up when they were finished. If you are needing any painting done Robert does a great job and you can defiantly save some money but still get an outstanding painting job !!!! read more
