They were very careful to not mangle the new sod. One tree did not survive the first winter and they replaced it with an equivalently sized spruce. All nine trees are thriving. I watched them dig the holes for the root balls and know that they gave these trees plenty of room. They put shredded hardwood mulch with preemergent weed control around each tree and they've stayed mostly weed free. The edging around each rocked area has plenty of anchors and there's been no heaving after two years.

For starters, Jim was more thorough & informative than his competitors. He took the time to walk me through all the particulars & answer all my questions. Shortly thereafter, Jim came out and inspected our yard. He drew up a landscape plan for us & provided a detailed quote. I found Friedges pricing to be extremely competitive & fair (much less expensive than their competition). We ended up doing in-ground sprinklers & sod on about 1/3 acre lot. They did it right, trucking in fresh topsoil & throughly grading the lot. We added a 4' rock border around the house, and seven (7) blue spruce pine in the back - about 6' foot each. We also did a boulder wall & a nice manicured area in the front with plantings. Their team & installers were great and the end result was excellent. They even left me a plan & schematic detailing all the sprinkler zones & where the heads were located. Needless to say we're extremely pleased with the whole experience. Friedges & Jim are professional, timely & all around great landscapers. My favorite part is I have had no less than three neighbors complement my yard. I would highly recommend Friedges!

I have an older home that was built in 1941 and part of my roof is a decorative turret. There's no function to this thing, but it looks cool. The problem was that we were getting water coming inside where the turret met the traditional roof. My wife contacted Josh and he promptly came out to look at our roof. He knew what the problem was right away and scheduled a time that Chuck would come out to make the fix. Besides the roof issue, we were getting water in from our chimney. For that, Joe came out to the rescue. No more leaks. It's more complicated than that, but the communication from Minnesota Roofing with me and my wife was great. They let us know where the trouble spots were and how they would fix the problem. They came out to make the fix at a reasonable price and we have been dry ever since. My wife and I have had to do quite a bit of work to our new home to fix it up and I have come across many contractors that have been dismissive to my wife. Not the MN Roofing Company. Both me and my wife are into fixing this house together and everyone who works for MN Roofing Company has been respectful and easy to work with for both of us. We cannot recommend these guys enough. They never issued me a Final Waiver of Lien or Warranty documents, even after multiple requests. Today I received a bill from the dumpster people, saying Chuck Lowe had not paid them, and I have to pay them or they will lien my home. Turns out, Chuck filed for dissolution of Dura Gaurd on August 11, 2026. I have been told that at least 7 other homeowners are receiving bills from unpaid vendors. Plus, they did an awful job on the roof. Some of the shingles don't even project over the drip edge, so rainwater gets under the shingles and runs down the fascia, which will soon start to rot. Buyer beware - there is no integrity with Chuck Lowe. NONE! Plus, I will not be surprised if I receive invoices from other unpaid vendors.

James at Golden Oak came out to meet with me and hear about my needs. Basically, I needed the huge trees removed without damaging the house, my neighbors house, or my landscaping. He developed a plan, ensured I was on bored, then executed it well. Each limb of these 95ft high trees were cut and lowered as to prevent damaging the ground. It was a huge Job and they did very well by me. I chose them because of their competitive price, but more because of the description of how they would do it. The HOW was very important to me and with the care they took we were able to prevent any damage to the ground below.
