Great service and good retro games for fair prices. The staff is very friendly and helps out

To my understanding this location is tied to the pawn shop on Nile's street east Bakersfield. I am more familiar with that location and remember going a few times as a kid with my mom. I have vivid memories of the store being decked out with decorations for every holiday, and when I went in the other day it was plain and sad looking. One of the employees mentioned setting up decorations for Christmas, and I was very disappointed they aren't decorating for Halloween. I know it isn't advertised as a "family place" per say but as a kid I looked forward to going in and seeing all the decorations while my mom handled her business. All I can think about is all the kids just like me going in with their parents, only to walk in to a boring store. No complaints about the price I was offered for the items I pawned, but the ambiance just wasn't there anymore. I feel like the store lost its touch. read more

If you're heading on Vacation and want to sell your gold or silver, stop here first Gold & Silver Trading Co. truly pays top dollar in Bakersfield! I swung by on my way out of town. With a piece I needed to liquidate, and they gave me a fast, fair, no-pressure appraisal and an offer that beat what I expected. Super straightforward process, friendly staff, and I walked out with cash in hand in minutes. Whether you're selling coins, jewelry, or bullion, this is the spot. Highly recommend if you're passing through Bakersfield and want the best payout before hitting the road to Vegas. Thanks for making it quick and painless read more

The man who serviced me was very rude. Also, the item i took in to sell was over $3000. He offered$176. I understand they need to make money, but undervalueing something that much is complete robbery. read more

I bought a Citizen EcoDrive titanium watch from them (it charges with solar). they had to know the battery wouldn't charge because the watch only ran under the bright lights of the display, but they sold it as a good, working watch. Once i got it home, it was dead. i had to send it off to Citizen to get the battery replaced, which was not cheap. read more

My husband says this is the best pawn shop in town; the only one he goes to! I always love coming into the store and chatting with the ladies. Every time we come in they're so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend Rosedale Pawn!!! read more

I was calling around town to get some estimates on jewelry I was looking to either pawn or sale for my first time. Upon calling I spoke to Leo who was extremely helpful and informative with every question I asked regarding the process or other options I may have. Not only did he tell me the process but he also gave me several options I could look into as I'm strapped for money right now and can't drive everywhere. If you're looking for a trustworthy and reliable staff for your next visits whether it's looking to buy or sale I'd highly recommend this place right here! I truly do hope the staff is looked after well as they're the reason I had such an amazing first impression ! read more

Honestly I would give this place -stars.. I walked in this morning like any other person looking to get some cash for a Laptop/tablet I had.. after waiting a few minutes a lady came out from the behind the counter asked very rudely what I wanted.. not a "Good Morning" or a "'How can I help you" basically if I had to interpret the look on her face when she saw me it was a F*** off.. when I told her I wanted to see how much I could get for my laptop.. all she said was " we aren't taking any at this time " .. and that's fine but at least she shouldn't of been a b**** about it.. she was a down to the bone racist.. you could tell just by the way she acted toward me. When I went in there was a American couple and .. seriously what a difference on the customer service Will definitely never go back, nor would I personally ever recommend !! read more

I had previously visited this location months ago, nothing to note. Today i walked in hearing about the new ownership as well as new faces to welcome you in. I was blown away by the beautiful new presentation, wide variety of coins, and jewelry. I had a few questions and was assisted by helpful crew. read more

I've been dealing with them since I first moved to Bakersfield in 2012 & not once have I been disappointing with doing business with rosedale pawn. Their 3x better than the pawn shops in downtown, never tried to rip me off, always gave me what I asked for with no complaint & even stayed open a couple extra minutes for me one time because I came around closing time & since they recognized me as usual customer & seen I was really in a money needing situation they let me come in still knowing it was already closing time. I literally drive from fairfax and niles to do my business with these guys because I know their that good. I highly recommend if u don't wanna be cheated like all them pawn shops off Chester...come here! read more

As I walked in and saw all the tools to my left, drills and gadgets I thought of my father. He would have loved this place and would have been in heaven to tinker around all the odds and ends. This is a great place to go browse and find some treasures, new and old. I was looking for something specific and found it at a reasonable price. Day to day, things change as far as stock here and people come from the east side to shop at this particular pawn shop for whatever reason. Staff were personable but also left you alone to browse. Tons of bar stuff, sports stuff, Hot Wheels cars, costume jewelry, saddles, knives in the glass cases. Nothing dirty or too junky. It felt like a big garage sale with that flea market feel. I will return one day just out of curiosity. Pawn shops get a bad rap and I understand in part why. However in modern times, I feel they are monitored better and have to play by the strict rules and guidelines set out for them. read more

A few years ago I came to this shop to determine their ethics. I was wearing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust I had purchased New from a store in Orange County in 1983. I overheard one woman say that the watch was a fake. She tried to pry the case open not knowing that Rolex serial numbers can only be read by removing the band. Evidently she thought it was a battery powered fake with no knowledge of the genuine item. read more

I have bought multiple items from this group, and i visit there store often just too see the inventory. They will negotiate on prices when purchasing and don't have items marked considerably higher than what you can buy it for new. When I'm in the market for an item I usually see if they have it first,(I'm sitting here now in the market for another flat screen lol) read more

I used to like going here being I'm a silver collector and I would normally get charged a little over spot to purchase. But today the gentleman there wanted to charge me $42 for 1.5 oz.. crazy ripoff. I asked about spot price and he claimed they charge based on what they pay for it. Most likely not going back read more

Rosedale Pawn is a bit difficult to find going down Rosedale Highway. They offer a wide variety of merchandise, so you're bound to find something. The customer service isn't the greatest, and they don't like to haggle on their prices. read more

Stopped by a couple of times to genuinely get rid of stuff I had lying around and the first time was offered such a low number I walked out. The second time I stopped by hey wouldn't even buy what I brought in. I know it's here right to refuse business but the guy both times would barely give me the time of day and looks at you like your some shady Individual. I would give this place no stars If i could. read more

They are a pretty good place to go and get a loan (pawn) for your valuables. They give you a decent price as well as contact you to remind you when your loan needs to be repaid or you lose your items. They also have a wide selection of merchandise. read more

We got a gaming laptop. Once we got it home, we realized that the operating system was a trial and we didn't have a disc around. So they gave me $100 back to buy an OS. I like that kind of service. read more

I bought a "NEW" Garmin Oregon 600 from this pawnshop on eBay for $321. Maps could not be downloaded to the device, rendering it useless. After several days of troubleshooting by Garmin, the device was found to be defective & had to be returned to Garmin Int'l. I contacted the pawn shop, they refused to refund or replace the device. Their website states "Customer Satisfaction Is Our Top Priority". Their only priority is stealing your money & selling you defective merchandise. read more

I went to this store to purchase a set of power tools that I saw in their ad online. I really like those tools. So for me to get it, I went there first thing in the morning before they even open the store. When I got there, there was already a car parked in front of the store ahead of me. The moment they open up the store I got out from my car and went inside and at the same time the person from the other car went in also with me. The other person went straight to the left and I went to the right. I found the tools that I want right away and went straight to the cashier to pay but the other person that went in with me saw the tools that I was holding and he immediately told me, hey, that's mine I came here first and I should be the right one to buy it. I said what is your problem I found it and got it first. There's no rules that who ever get here first should be the one to pick what ever they wanted. But the cashier person sided to him and told me he will check the cctv footage who came there first. I admitted that the other person arrived at the store ahead of me but the store was still close then. But the cashier insisted that since the other person arrived first so he should be the right one to buy the tools. But I refused to let it go because it's wrong and unfair. But there was an old white lady that work there also present that time and yelled at me, telling me to give it to the other person. And she said if I won't give it to the other person I can't buy it anyway because they won't sell it to me. There were 4 people inside the store, me, the other buyer(a white guy), the cashier a white guy, and the old lady that also work there is also white. So, sad to say I didn't get the tools but when i was about to leave the store I told them you're all racist. And the other person/customer and the old lady both yelled back at me that to go away and leave. I will never go back to that store again. Racism will not go away forever. read more
