Dr Goforth is hands down the best chiropractor I have ever seen. I saw him For 8 years while living in Socorro. He always listened carefully to me about my back and neck pain issues and tried a variety of techniques with me until we found something that worked (for me the activator and arthrostim instruments provided immediate relief from severe musculoskeletal pain that would periodically flare up). I now live on the east coast and have not been able to find any chiropractor who is trained in even half of the wide variety of techniques that Dr Goforth knows and none have been able to help me (and most have made me worse). I have always liked him, but I will say that Dr Goforth has a very direct, and at times even terse personality. It might be difficult for patients who are timid, unable to voice their concerns and preferences, or offended by "tough love" styles of advice. Some of the negative reviews here sound like people who weren't a good match for his personality. The bottom line is that Dr Goforth is a highly skilled practitioner and the only chiropractor who would adjust me, leave me to rest for a few minutes, and then check to see if further adjustments/refinements were needed. Everyone else I've seen adjusts you once and that's it until your next appointment. I desperately wish there were more chiropractors like him. read more

He's Dr. Grim--mean spirited and completely inept. Should retire. He was verbally abusive in delivering an assessment of my condition and proclaimed he couldn't help me. Thank God, because I found Dr. Linda Hite and am receiving wonderful, compassionate and competent treatment for an old injury that is not hopeless. Don't waste your time with Goforth. read more

So after I write a glowing review - which is the truth for years I go in and a) he got right in my face about not signing a contract with the State of NM for treatments 2-3 times per month for the headaches I get from an Acquired Brain Injury. He has the right to say no but NOT get hostile with me because he does not want to sign a contract with the State. B) He showed great hostility while telling me "You have never gotten any better in all the time you have been seeing me". Which is contrary to what he has said numerous times and is contrary to my condition. IDK I do not want to go back to him. Hope I can find another Chiro in Gallup that is good at what they do and is ethical. I have multiple issues with my back and neck and need Chiropractic Care from someone who wants to treat patients well and does a great job with the Chiropractic Care. If Goforth is going to act this way with patients then he needs to retire. read more

I hate to use the label 'quack' but this is, in my opinion, appropriate in this case. I had severe spinal pain and this guy wouldn't even request an x-ray to see what's wrong. he treated me weekly for 4 months with absolutely no pain relief. I finally gave up and went to the Spinal facility in Albuquerque and they refered me to Rehoboth hospital for phyisical therapy and cordosone treatments which helped tremendously. His use of power adapted tools and weekly recomendation to purchase his next solution (like a special pillow or back support for use in the car) called into question his ethics and made me believe he was more interested in selling me stuff than curing me.
