Working with Sam has been an absolute game-changer for me. While I've only used S&S for the past…read moretwo tax seasons, I can confidently say that I'll be sticking with him for my future returns. I started considering getting a tax accountant the year I began a new side gig which I knew would add some complexity to my tax situation. I was still leaning towards just using one of the free tax software options out there since it wasn't any crazy amount of extra money and plus, they were free. But I decided to get a few consultations set up and after a few unimpressive calls with other offices, I ended up talking to Sam. Since then, Sam's always been refreshingly straightforward in his services. He doesn't waste time, but zeroes in on what matters most--maximizing my returns and minimizing my stress. Plus, I've never had to waste time going in-person and taking care of physical forms since his office keeps everything digital and makes my job as easy as uploading my documents. Despite my initial hesitation over the cost of a professional vs free software, Sam's expertise has proven invaluable. He's done an incredible job with saving me money and the peace of mind that comes from knowing my taxes are in capable hands is priceless.

My husband and I have been doing well in our careers, and over the 5 years we've been married our salaries have more than doubled. As our salaries went up, what used to be refunds turned into owing taxes. I recently received a raise and was shocked to see an over 6% raise ended up only being a little more than $20 a paycheck. I knew it was time to enlist a professional to try and help me figure out our household's tax situation. I searched through yelp, looking through different CPAs, reading their reviews and looking at their websites. I was very impressed by Roubina's website, and since she knew how to do charitable gifts like Charitable Remainder Unitrusts, I knew she had a deep knowledge of taxes. After sending an email, Roubina responded and we set up a time to look over my situation. She sent me an intuit link (handy since I use TurboTax) and I sent over paystubs, and taxes for Roubina to look at. During our appointment Roubina called right on time, gave me some advice and options, and told allayed my fears. Turns out that since my husband and I make pretty good money, but don't have any children or a house, we just owe a lot of money in taxes. As mentioned before, she gave us several options, and even though likely I will have to pay more money in taxes, the peace of mind in knowing I'm doing the right thing now is priceless! She was so easy to talk to, and very warm sounding even through the phone. Roubina specializes in personal income taxes, so if you need help with your taxes, whether its what to do when you get a raise, or how to file your normal taxes, I highly recommend Roubina!

I have every text message showing the irresponsible and unprofessional behavior. If you have an 11 AM paid consultation and you know you'll be late, there's no excuse for not sending a quick text or email. I get it, people get busy, but accountability and a simple apology are the bare minimum. The lack of both was unacceptable and unprofessional. End of story. Update: Ara, you still never apologized--that's the bottom line. Your response proves it. Saying, "Oh, we offered a refund as an apology" isn't an apology at all. Of course, a refund is expected when the consultation never happened. That's not generosity, that's basic fairness. What's insulting is the attempt to pass it off as if it makes up for your behavior. You were late, you didn't take responsibility, and now you're scrambling with excuses. That's why I said we dodged a bullet--because you're disingenuous. And frankly, trying to compare yourself to attorneys, doctors, or restaurant owners is laughable. They take responsibility and accountability for their clients and customers. You do not. That's who you are and what you are
