The whole shop has been given a new lease of life, and there is even a beautiful little cafe now. What was once a half empty shop filled with the voice of a screeching manager (now apparently gone, thank goodness), is now a serene and inspirational gardening experience. We came down on a sunny weekday and had a wander around the shop indoor and out, and came up with some great ideas for our garden. The staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful in giving us advice on pairing shrubs this season. We also took the time to stop in the pretty little garden cafe, (a bit of a haven from the road outside,) which had an impressive selection of treats and nibbles.

Good prices that are not as high as others in the area. Always a good selection of bedding plants and baby veg when the seasons start. They also have a lovaly range of 'inside' goodies - plants, household things, gifts, wellies, jackets etc. A place you can spend lots, but get lots too. A nice calm, comfortable buying experience.

We first went into the gardens and it was very peaceful with a number of small ponds surrounded by well manicured lawns, trees, and a lot of borders with interesting grasses. At the end of the gardens is a woodland, more ponds and a lot of ducks and fish. I think the silence is a treasure in these sort of places. There is a small shop that leads to the nursery and next door is a cafe. You can see it all except the gardens for free. Overall, I think its a nice place to visit for peace and quiet.
