While not fortunate, what did turn out to be fortunate was where I ended up stopping. Britton's Wrecker Service stepped up on Sunday early, and I mean early, morning and sent Larry to the rescue. This 'Larry guy' shows up, and right off the bat, had me laughing. Larry was right to work. In the short amount of time it took Larry to change my F-150 back tire, we were chatting back and forth and it didn't slow him down one second. When the tire was changed out, Larry had everything put back in place. This 'Larry guy' representing Britton's Wrecker Service is gold. Fast, friendly, efficient and a great attitude. We called him at 1:00 to see how soon he could help us. He was ready ASP, the next morning he called and found us a new set of tires. He was happy to show up and tow the car from the motel to his shop and had us back on the road in no time. He was very nice and communicated the progress often. Christian came to get us, was able to get us safely moved off the highway, then gave our whole family (all 5 of us!) a ride in his extended cab truck to a hotel, lowered the vehicle again for us to get our belongings, and then continued on to take the vehicle to the shop, with a promise to get us picked up in the morning! Breaking down so far from home was trying to say the least, but Christian did everything within his power, going above and beyond to help.

He put the spare on, but it was flat so he called his son to bring a compressor, blew up the spare and followed us with his hazard lights on all the way to the last exit to Paducah. Meanwhile we were headed to Metropolis to Harrah's so I called their security and got three names of companies that could help with tire replacement. The first was in Paducah, the second didn't answer as it was about 5:30, but then we were very fortunate to call C & W and although they close at 5 Curtis answered and said he would check to see if he had a used tire that would get us home, and he would order four new tires that we could get one or more of the next morning about noon. The next day he called my daughter at 10 a.m. and said that he had the tires. We went to the shop, had help unloading a very full car, the damage to the tire was shown to us along with the cracks, were told the age of the tires and then asked what we wanted to do. We bought four new tires as ours were six years old. Service was prompt and very friendly as we waited inside with Curtis's wife who works there. When we left Curtis said to be sure to text him when we got home safely. We had another problem later in the day so we were late getting home. As we walked in the door at my condo Curtis was already texting to check on us. We couldn't have asked for better service. We thank God for Curtis and his way of doing business.
