I am so grateful, Todd was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, helpful, and above all did what was right by us always. He made this stressful process more manageable and ensured that we were heard and understood everything step of the way. I would 1000% recommend Todd & Prevu anytime, any day! Plus you get a rebate, but honestly even without the rebate we would use them again. Highly recommend!

She helped negotiate our offer and was also super helpful during the buying process and was always available by text and phone call.

Thank you, Mr. Hill for following up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At first BAB seemed like a professional, prompt establishment. However, the agent I worked with, Melissa, basically lied about many details of the apartment I ended up renting and was only out to make her part of the commission. The apartment was being "renovated" when I saw it. Melissa said the landlord would replace everything, put screens in the window and that the apartment came with a ceiling fan in the kitchen. Melissa stated that the landlord is great and the "super" does excellent work. She was very persistent when it came to collecting the deposits and fees, but her dedication fell off shortly afterwards. I requested to see the apartment again before the move in date to ensure all repairs had been made. BAB was unable to make that happen and began diverting my questions to the agent representing the landlord. On my move-in date, the "super" was still repairing the bathroom, there were no refrigerator or stove, the ceiling fan had been replaced with a used light fixture, the windows did not have any screens, and a filthy stove hood was in the kitchen. (The appliances were delivered after 6 PM that evening. Therefore, I didn't have any heat because National Grid could not turn on the gas without a stove.) Over the last month, I have made several requests to have BAB do something about all these issues, but nothing has been done. When I began my complaint to Melissa, she tried to say that she didn't say everything would be "new" or "replaced". She basically just stopped responding to me. At that time, Ernest became the contact person, and he assured that everything would be taken care of. He claimed to have contacted the landlord's agent and more useless promises were made. I was told that the super would replace the hood and install the screens "when the weather got warmer". I recently followed up with the super and he told me that he doesn't install screens. Communication has been horrible. They haven't even been able to supply a contact number for management...just the address to mail monthly rent checks. This has been a disappointing experience. My next step will be contacting a lawyer to see what my rights are concerning this mishap. I have a huge paper trail to document everything. It's great to see how wonderful BAB has been for everyone else...wish it could have been for me as well.

There is a Giant Gap between someone that has a Real Estate License and someone that knows how to…read moreSell Real Estate in a Buyers Market when nothing is selling and there are ton's of properties for sale. It's very easy to get a Real Estate License but 90% of people holding a license really have no business in the Real Estate Industry--let me tell you. The Folan's have Real Estate in their blood. Their mom was an accomplished Broker that taught them how to sell. I wish I was born into their family. When I needed to sell a condo in NYC during a recession, there were no buyers and tons of distressed properties on the market. Most people told me not to sell--wait a few years--but I wasn't living in it and the monthly carrying charges were eating me alive! Before finding the Folans I hired (and fired) two other Agencies in Queens that did not know the first thing about how to sell a property! They let my condo languish for months telling me that there are no buyers--it's the wrong time! Then I spoke to a lawyer friend of mine in Manhattan--and he told me the only people in Queens that are going to be able to sell a condo right now are the Folans. To which I responded: "What are the Folans!?" "I need a Realtor I said--not a Band!" So I contacted them, and they just know how to find a buyer--they just have a way of doing it that is time tested--and my condo was sold within 2 months--they had 2 Buyers competing--after fussing with 2 other Agencies that promised me the world for 8 months that brought me nothing! And even better--they recommended a crack lawyer to do the closing. This guy was the best! So if you ask me--if I was selling a property in Queens--I would come here. Or you can go to any other agency in Queens if you really don't want to sell your property but just want to pretend it's for sale. Now I just want to say one last thing--while these ladies look good--you see their picture--they are as tough as nails and probably eat raw meat for dinner. I don't think you are going to get that touchy-feely service here--I did not feel that warm welcoming attitude that I usually look for--nor did I think they wanted any more business from me in the future--but you will get that focused attention to sell your property from professionals that live and breath this stuff.

If you're unfamiliar with the model, these guys act as your (the buyer's) agent. They help you schedule property viewings, attend these scheduled viewings with you, provide guidance about the market and properties you're considering, and do all the typical things buyer's agents do. About the only thing they don't do is hand-hold you on finding properties in NYC- but that's what StreetEasy is for! And in the end, the best part is you get to share in their commission on the backend! What?! Yes, like thousands of dollars, right at closing... Besides actually closing, for us this was the best part of the whole home buying experience in NYC. So... if you actually need hand-holding or don't want to use StreetEasy, then this isn't for you. But for most of us this is a superior model. I highly recommend The Burkhardt Group if you're buying a place in NYC.
