Hi,
My husband and I went to this restaurant on 27th December 2015. We come from India and are naturally fond of Indian food. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it by relishing some Indian food. The name of the restaurant is "Goa", which is a state in India, which is famous for its seafood and stuff like Vindaloo (Pork Vindaloo to be specific). So, we went there and here is what we experienced:
1. Apart from the name, there is nothing ´Goan´ about this place. No pork dishes!
2. We ordered Veg pakora which was filled with oil (as if, it was made earlier and fried again later). It was tasteless, all I could taste was oil. Could not eat after one bite. We also requested the waiter to give our feedback to the chef.
3. Chicken soup was sweet, tomato soup was just ground tomatoes with a sour taste
4. Chicken Jalferezi was made with coconut milk. In normal Jalferezi recipe, there is no coconut.
I can understand that they have tailored their dishes according to local German taste. But there is NO TASTE at all. There is nothing Indian about it. We were thoroughly disappointed having chosen this place to celebrate our special occasion. This is the worst Indian restaurant we have visited in Germany, so far. read more
