Update: Two days…read moreafter "canceling" my order I received an email from them telling me that the shoes were in stock and they would be posting them "as soon as they had unpacked them". After a ten minute conversation (ten minutes more than it should have taken) with the person on the till I managed to get my order "Actually canceled" (quote the member of staff) and received my money back three days after that. The fact that they would say that my order was canceled then still try to proceed with the order is frankly terrible.

The shop is run by very knowledgeable people who have the time, patience but above all experience to help you choose the most suitable product. Most of what they sell is serious, high-end gear think Parador and Rohan. The boot fitting service is particularly good. The staff will take as long as it takes (30 minutes minimum) to make sure you get the best fitting and most suitable boot or shoe. The shop is in the suburbs and it can be difficult to park there but I for one wouldn't buy my boots from anywhere else.

As they were standing next to us it equated to poor service. We had travelled 15 miles passing other retailers on the way. No we will not be going back. We then went to Cotswolds in Bakewell where we had excellent service and spent around £400.

There is a large range of sporting equipment and clothing under each activity. It's easy to go mad and buy items you didn't go in for but at them prices you don't mind as much. It's great just to see what they have and give ideas for getting active, anyone for Frisbee? The store itself is massive, with plenty of free parking and is also in an easy location to visit via public transport. I've purchased a variety of items here, from football socks to camping gear. They carry items from most of the major brands, but also have their own cheaper brand. The staff are always helpful and polite and the store is easy to navigate with various departments (split into sports) stretching across the wide building.
