He only went in for some bait and night lights but ended up spending a fortune on new fishing gear because there is so much choice for a keen angler in this shop. The shop is well laid out with a good selection of rods and reels which were more reasonably priced than the shop in Birmingham he usually goes to. We were very impressed with some folding childrens rods which came with a small reel already attached, he bought our elder two daughters one each because they like going fishing with him but struggle with the length of his normal rods. He also bought some floats because they were such a good price and of very good quality. Of course they sell maggots and other kinds of bait, my fella bought some of these (yuk) as well as soon ground bait and hooks. This shop sells all the top brands as well as some cheaper names so all budgets are catered for, I think we'll be taking another trip to Bakewell soon so he can buy the tackle box he was coveting in the shop! I was very impressed with the service, the two guys in the shop were helpful and attentive and were more than happy to give their opinion and gave us details of several good local places for fishing. We took their advice and Mark ended up catching loads of fish even though the weather wasn't particularly good.
