I would like to give a shout out to the Delta employee at the Billings July 26, 2026 airport who helped us with checking in our luggage at the main kiosk there. She was Russian with dark colored hair. She was thoughtful to ask if we needed a wheelchair for my father. He declined but it was nice to get the offer. I would like to say my only gripe for the trip was the quality of earphones. They were really hard to hear the movie. Maybe it was because I had the seats nearest the airplane wings? I appreciated them. The plane was nice and clean and so was the airports. I wished we could buy a day pass for the Delta Lounge. Overall my experience was so great so now I will want to go Delta next time I fly.

A nice (and quiet) hotel near the hospital and downtown…read more Riversage Billings Inn is easily confused with a similarly-named nearby hotel, but as near as I can tell both might be owned by the same people because the decor is similar. In any case, this property has a very cozy feel to it. The lobby is not huge, but does have comfortable seating and a fireplace to sit near on those cool winter nights. It's in an area of town that has a residential feel, probably because of the large trees surrounding it and the nearby businesses. It doesn't look like a cookie-cutter hotel. The rooms are okay, with comfortable beds. decent wi-fi, a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave -- all the things you come to expect. Because it's a hotel often used by those visiting the hospital, this hotel takes extra care to provide rooms to accommodate longer stays. This hotel also accepts pets with notice. The breakfast is standard: waffle maker, cereals, proteins, dairy, toast. Because the lobby is relatively small with only a few tables, it might work better to take breakfast back to your room.

Especially appreciated was their inquiry as to when we wanted breakfast served, if we needed our room serviced, and their concern that our questions were answered. Harvey, while not only an excellent cook, shared a great wealth of local information, including information about national parks, eateries, and things to do - much appreciated, since this was our first (but not last!) trip to Montana. I found Trailhead via Yelp and their services perfectly met my needs. I was able to arrange the ride from my home in a different state, and pay for the ride so he didn't have to. It was a flat rate which I appreciated and there were several types of payment options. We got confirmation who our driver would be shortly after booking, and we were sent his vehicle and contact info. He then tracked my uncle's flight so he could adjust if it was delayed (and it was). It was a great experience and a huge peace of mind knowing he would be safely tracked by one person who we had communicated with in advance. He texted me when he arrived and I received his text as our plane landed. He told me exactly where he parked his car which 5 steps from the exit of the terminal. On the way he explained many historical facts about Montana, Billings and the town of Absorkee where our Lodge was located. We were staying at the Montana Fly Fishing Lodge and they primarily use his company. His new Lincoln Navigator was clean and very comfortable. When it was time for us to leave, he picked us up and took us back to the airport. We talked about many things. He was such a good conversationalist and such a wonderful person. When we got out of the car, he handed us a package to take with us on the plane. When we opened it up, we saw that it was two fresh chocolate donuts. I have to say, those were the best chocolate donuts I have ever had, and my friend felt the same way. I will always use Trailhead Shuttle and Transport whenever I am in Billings or anywhere near there. They are great!

The TSA here is always really great. There is really never a line to get in, and they have a…read moreseparate line for precheck. You end up going into the same line as everyone, but they give you a little slip of paper that you are precheck. It goes by very quickly. The workers here are also very friendly and helpful. Sometimes TSA workers can be cranky, but these workers in Billing never are. They are moving the checkpoint to a different area with new machines, so I bet the process is going to get even better!!

Many missed ughts by passengers thinking this small airport should be quick. It SHOULD be... but most of the time, it is not. Especially for standard TSA.
