I went to the lobby of the hotel and asked how much a cab typically cost and they quoted $21 plus $1 for luggage. I understood that I requested a early 4AM pickup but that still doesn't justify the price gouging. When I told the respondent through text that $35 was all I was willing to pay for this short ride he or she responded 4AM; 10 minutes 80mph. It was at that moment I knew this was not the place for me. I ended up with Uber for $21 with a surge. Now the Uber driver gets a nice tip.
