Bare paint, shiny beside Matte film

I think the first time I met Jim Beech was on November 19, 2022. We met in his front parking lot. I told him I was only interested in the matte Kavaca and Xpel, and saw that he was an installer of Kavaca, and I had already gotten an estimate for Xpel. I told him my search for Kavaca locally came up with GNJ and SoCal, and he said we are all one big company and he pointed down to your building. He then gave me a verbal quote for $4,600 on a full PPF Kavaca wrap and then took me through his shop, first showing me his Ceramic Pro Kavaca IR ceramic window tint display and then some cars he was working on. We made an appointment that day to bring my Bronco in on November 28, 2022. He kept it for over a week before getting started and I finally got it back on December 22. The hood's bug deflector was on crooked, my gas lid release mechanism was missing, one of my interior door panels had multiple scratches, and wide gaps showing shiny paint were in several locations. I was not happy but told them I needed it for awhile and would come back for warranty work. Instead of $4,600 they charged me almost $6,200, and then asked if I wanted to give my installer a tip... I told them let's see if the repairs would fix it and maybe then I would tip cash. After getting my Bronco home and really looking at it closely I found dark particles stuck behind the PPF and thinned areas on my hood.I made an appointment to meet with Jim Beech and my installer, Caleb, to complain about everything I found. Jim was late and Caleb wasn't there. We stayed in the parking lot and Jim was getting heated. He tried to intimidate me by saying their work is as good as anybody's in the area, and he would consider dropping me altogether if I didn't stop saying their work was crap. He settled down and said I could bring it in anytime for the PPF replacement. I wanted to wait awhile before taking it back in for warranty work because it was winter and it needed warm sunny days to get bubbles out. I took it back in on April 11, 2023, and gave them a list of what I wanted them to fix. I told them I got an email from Nanoshine that said I needed to have a Ceramic Pro installer verify the thinned areas on my hood and they would pay to replace it. When I picked up on April 18, they had not replaced the PPF on my hood, which is clearly thinned by stretching, and two of the areas with PPF replacement (front right door, and the lower strip under my grill) were cut in place, with a razor knife, and not around the perimeter. Jim said that since he could not see the thinning on the hood from 3 feet away, and only could see it in certain light, that it's not approved for warranty replacement - this he said in front of my wife and Caleb. I couldn't leave it there any longer because I entered my Bronco in the Bronco Super Celebration East to be in the show field. That is where I met Steven Annis, and saw the job you guys did on his front end Kavaca wrap. I told him his looked perfect with no pieced-together sections, and then showed him mine. I asked where he had his installed and he said SoCal in Knoxville. I told him that was part of the same company where I had mine installed, and that's when he showed me the companies had different owners. Since then I've asked for an itemized invoice and my Kavaca warranty card, and I brought my Bronco to SoCal for inspection and a sample replacement of the section under my grill, which revealed the paint is scratched where the PPF was cut by Caleb at GNJ. Billy sprayed water on my hood and determined the PPF is not hydrophobic and you did a puncture test with a pen on the removed section and compared it to a puncture test with the same pen on SoCal's Kavaca and determined my PPF to be an inferior product.

Requested a ceramic coat to my whole truck. Dropped it off in a Sunday as the work was to begin on Tuesday. Received a text on Monday that my truck would actually be ready today, (Tuesday) anytime I wanted to come get it. Arrived at shop and noticed a lil bit of compound on the truck and should them and they immediately cleared it off and cleaned the area. The cost was much less than the other shops I requested estimates from and they did a fantastic job overall on my black truck was it 2 years old now but only had 8000 miles on it. Thank Jim, Kyle and the rest of the crew whom did the work. John M.

We reached out to Radioactive for a quote and the owner, Shaun, got back to us right away. We were given a day to make an appointment and an estimate for the work to be done. They were booking about 2 weeks out, which was fine for us. The night before our appointment, Shaun called me and confirmed that we were coming. The next day, we arrived and the car was quickly taken in. We decided to wait at the shop, as there is a small waiting area with about three chairs. We could see why they were booking out, people after people came in looking for parts and/or dropping off their cars. It took a little bit longer than expected, but we were totally fine with that. The results were fantastic and we couldn't be happier. Everything was run through the car and there are zero wires showing. They were able to hook it up straight to the battery with the fuses kit we purchased. Highly recommend the team at Radioactive for anything car audio related. Also found out they do tinting in both carbon and ceramic, remote starts, alarms, custom subwoofer enclosures, and custom LED lighting. And even better, they offer a lifetime warranty on installation labor and tinting.

I requested while it was being checked, adding the back up camera. #2) I'll admit my faults, I left the locking wheel lug 'key' at home. I rescheduled for the next weekend. The tire needed to be removed for the camera. #3) Arrived was told the reason my phone disconnects from the radio, the cable isn't what came with my phone. I explained, the cable that came with my phone is USB C and the one in my car is not. But I'll pay for the upgrade / change. I was treated like I was ignorant. I was never told if the upgrade / change was even possible (now this radio hadn't been in my car a year at this point). He said he had a cable but it was too short. Then I was told the camera install would need holes drilled in my car because of the way it was made. I asked about other mounting locations, I was told it wouldn't line up. I asked about ordering the cable for the radio and was blown off. After leaving I'm dismissed tears, my other half called and was told it would be made right. The cable would be ordered (they were also that day suppose to check on a console install) the console would be looked at, they promised they would make it "RIGHT". I've never heard back and it's been over 3 months. So I'm dealing with a faulty stereo and no option for a camera. Almost $1,000 for nothing. Unhappy and I will never recommend or enter this store again. Run run fast and hard.

So just got my car back from them, had them install an alarm (from them), Apple CarPlay radio and…read morebackup camera. Along with the alarm I had them do a keyless entry for my door locks, so they also installed new actuators. It took a while (3 weeks) but they were having trouble with getting the actuators to work and its a 1985 Trans AM so this was fairly understandable (I'll get back to this). Its a custom type car and as such a little more difficult to deal with so they actually passed on installing my rear 6x9's eventually and I also understood. So the issues and why they are getting one star from me. I'll start with my missing sun visors and the fabric pulled away from my top (what remains from the head liner as it's a convertible). The fabric was pulled away from the roof and the visors were missing as stated, when I pointed it out the guy that I was dealing with went in the back and didn't find them, came out and told me so and stated he wouldn't have messed with the visors any how so I must be mistaken (The car is fairly new to me but I know I used the visors when I drove the car before dropping it off). Almost had me convinced I was crazy and yeah why would they be messing with my visor. So I drive the car home a bit frustrated but now have the working radio in my car, I ask Siri to change the song and she can't hear me, they were messing with the visors because they needed to install the external microphone which is also missing. I get home and do an inventory of what is still in the box (not the microphone) and find that they failed to install the engine lock relay with the alarm and I also have some additional wires that are not installed one is a fuse and one I'm not sure what it is but I am now concerned that nothing was installed properly. Returning to the actuators issue, they had me come in over the weekend (custom car and I had to show them how to open the trunk). While there the door panels were still off and the actuators were in fact struggling to work, I had the opportunity to reach in and feel the back of the locking mechanism after talking to the guy he sprayed some WD40 back there and they worked (at least on the passanger side while I was there) so obvious lubrication issue. Get the car back and they still dont work. For clarity purposes the guy I was taking to and about most of the time is the guy that stays up front, not the guy that was actually working on my car. Speaking about the front though, they almost never answer the phone, they use a text messaging system from some 602 area code but it must be web based as I have gotten service error messages from it, and the person that types the messages is vague and unclear (doesn't really answer) when answering. Over all, this is a very frustrating experience and not worth the money and time it took. I sent a text with the major issues and left a voice mail so will see how they respond. I will likely update this after.
