This place really went to Sh%T, apparently I can't return anything that I bought at a different store but I can exchange it because it's better for them. How does that statement make sense ? Then I was told I could only exchange if I was a member. Wtf ?? Then all he kept saying was "you go" over and over. I regret spending my money with this company. It looks like it's ran by foreigners now. Disgusting read more

Each time I come to this GNC the whom I'm assuming is manager says that the "register is down" and to come back the next day. I am not sure why he says this but it is really inconvenient for customers. If the register is not working then you should close the store. I recommend going to another GNC if you don't want the hassle. read more

Arrived today at 4:30pm. Front door was locked with a sign that says "I am in back, knock on glass or call 562-69x-xxxx" Knocked and called multiple times with no answer. Unreliable store and will not be coming back again read more

We finally found the meta moon flavor of the non caffeinated hydration drink. This GNC is well stocked on Prime, both caffienated & non. The staff was also very kind. Thanks! read more

GNC - Fully stocked Prime Hydration drink! - Health Markets Near Me - Whittier, California

There's some ... maybe one? Maybe two or a few incompetent employees that work at this location. I called the store because I still have NOT received by subscription order. So I called and provided my info and this employee had no clue with the GNC auto deliver program, does not know what I'm taking about and sternly told me I NEED to call back. And that this person told me he/she doesn't not really work here. Great job GNC, way to fail at customer service from a store level. Will probably just cancel on this subscription since these guys have no clue how to help a paying customer read more

Came here to pick up some supplements and noticed they had some prime hydration in stock. Grabbed a few cases for the boys soccer team I coach and went to pay. The price he gave me was $39.99...I quickly went on GNC.com because I swore it was about $10.00 cheaper online. It was. They are $29.99 on their website. I know GNC had a PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE. When I told the associate Jaf about it he laughed it off and said no. I thought he was kidding at first. Then noticed he wasn't. I said it says online here and showed him. He said "nope not here. We don't honor the price match." I get there are differences between franchisees and corporate owned stores, but usually corporate honors some type of vendor credit to their franchise. I know this because it's what I do for a living. Regardless, Jaf's attitude and demeanor were unprofessional. Honestly, I never write reviews. But I had time today. If he simply would have said it a little more professionally I would of just ate the extra $30 and gone on my way. The ambiance here it not great. read more

GNC - the inside of a car filled with bottles of water - Health Markets Near Me - Whittier, California

This location rips you off. I recently went in while GNC was having a BOGO discount on Ghost products. We bought a few things so I didn't notice the total was more than it should be. Then I check my receipt and realize not only did they not honor the BOGO deal, they actually charged me MORE for each item than the signs posted IN THE SAME STORE. Don't go to this one. There's a reason it has less stars than others in the area. read more

The guy who's always working (maybe the owner or manager) is horrible with any sort of service. The prices are majorly marked up. He makes up his own rules when there is a sale going on with all GNC companies. He's just rude and does not know how to keep people coming back. read more

This place is price gouging their products and GNC probably doesn't even know about it. Was about to buy ON Creatine (120 servings) because online price said $74.99. I get there and see on the shelf that it's $89.99. I told the guy (who I think is the manager) that that's not what the online price said, and he responds with "I can sell it to you for $79.99." He even lies about "Online prices are different and they'll also charge you for shipping." Dude, grow up. Stop scamming people and overpricing your products. Also for those reading this: GNC has a price match guarantee. And this store refuses to honor that. I'm not going to waste my time or effort looking at the legality aspect of this, but just keep that in mind if you've been scammed by this GNC. If you're looking to buy supplements, I would suggest checking out ENDURANCE SPORTS NUTRITION right across the street from The Quad where Kumon is. Service is top notch and they stay true to their retail prices. I got my creatine there, for the RIGHT price. read more

The whole set up of this store is very strange. I feel like the store needs to be rearranged so that it makes sense. If you are trying to get supplements as a beginner I wouldnt come here. Better going to a GNC inside a Rite Aide. They have one big cold drink cooler and everything in it im sure is not a best seller. read more

I have been purchasing for GNC products for years and i have encountered this store location for the first time. So online, they have the buy 1 get one half off promotion. The store in Cerritos, and also in Pico, which is the other stores i get my protein powder also gives that promotion. So when i called this sote in Whittier, the guy said they dont do that, i confirmed with the 2 item that i plan to buy and he said no. I asked why online or even other store does it and not them. He couldnt give me an answer and said "i just work here". This store need to train their staff better bec the guy i talked to sounded really lost, sorry but my experience here just on the phone was not so great and im glad i didnt have to waste my time driving here. Now, if i am just missed informed and you guys really do that promo, message me and i will be happy to update but NOT delete this review. But today is 9/4/21 @ 3:10pm when i called the store, so you guys can search up who was the employee then. I dont mind if you guys dont want to offer the same promo the whole country is offering, but ateast give us a reason why, and not just "uh, i dont know". It matters because it can waste our time in many reason if the person we are calling is not familiar with the items or promos. I had to call customer service to make sure this is valid, and the representative said that the managers on each store can run separate promotions or decline the national promo GNC are offering... See, no big deal i only talked to them for less than 2 minutes, said thank you and hanged up. More knowledgeable right? But yes, i took time to share my experience and will be buying my item in Cerritos again, still a GNC customer, but not from Whittier now. read more

The employee Fatima just stared at myself and brother as we shopped. She didn't offer any help (we were the only ones in there), I would recommend going to a more knowledgeable location. read more

NO STARS IF POSSIBLE! I went on Saturday to buy a few things. The first time I put my card thru, supposably it didn't go thru...the second time, it did go thru. When I saw both transactions had posted to my account, I called them to tell them what had happened. I spoke with Jeffrey and he told me that it wasn't his problem and to call my bank! REALLY!!!! I'm telling you that you charged me twice and it's not your problem? It's not my problem that the system you have is crap! Needless to say...YES...I called my bank...and OBVIOUSLY GNC charged me twice! Thank goodness for my BANK they helped me more than this guy did!!!! From now on...I think I'll go to the GNC at the Whitwood center....at least there they have way better customer service! This location lacks it BIG TIME! read more

Questions for improvement: 1. How do you accommodate people with special needs or bicycles? 2. How do you accommodate returns if a customer has a bad reaction to your product? 3. Are staff trained to know the products or are they just objects selling and running a register? 4. How are returns or exchanges managed? 5. Are you about being part of humanity or just a profit center? 6. Do you make racial, ethnic, gender, religious, or other judgements in how you treat customers? stopped in here two weeks ago and bought something labeled, 100% Whey, GNC brand. I had told the clerk I could not have sugar alcohols or sucralose in particular. Guess what! The product is not at all pure Whey but I didn't see the small print immediately- I trusted the clerk. I realized I didn't have my receipt. I do not think he gave it to me. As someone without a car, I had to wait till a dry day ( it has been very rainy and cold) to pack it on my backpack and return to the store by bike. There is no bike rack. When I arrived, a different clerk was on duty. When she saw me with my bike, she began to shoo me away. I halted her bossiness immediately and reminded her there was no bike rack and informed her I needed to make a return. As I did not have the receipt (and I do not think it was given to me), I expected resistance. I got it. I was told to come back when the other clerk would be on duty on another day. Yea, sure. How many people want to walk or bike for miles to be greeted like that and to be told to do it again another day! The clerk, Fay, was very resistive but all I wanted was an exchange for a protein powder that was edible for me -not a refund. She finally agreed- remember I had told the other clerk of my food sensitivity. As well, GNC misleads by saying something is 100% whey when it is not. Fay, to her credit, did finally make a product exchange. I left with a Health Warrior product. It was unpleasant through and through but I can't afford to buy inedible food. I forgive Fay for her comments about my surname that were possibly snide; Fay may not be the best at appreciating I wanted to be a satisfied customer treated with dignity. I think it is counter-intuitive for businesses with a health emphasis scorn bicycles. Bringing my bike in caused no harm; there was only one other customer. I will consider going back as Fay did make a deal that satisfied me. read more

Best GNC I have ever been too. Jafri is an outstanding worker who truly cares about his job and the customers who shop there. He is extremely helpful and provides the customers with everything they need. I highly recommend. read more

Worst service ever!!!!!! I tried returning a product and was denied. After playing around with my card and DL card for about 15 min, the worker said the system was denying my card. BEWARE of this store....rip off artist!! read more

So walked in looking to buy some protein. Arnold brand by muscle pharm to be exact. The associate Jafri was incredibly helpful was even able to compare prices against other stores giving me the best one. Great customer service! read more

I've been going to this GNC for the past 2 years. Great service and the guys are always introducing me to new products. I usually grab a bucket of Whey protein and mass-gainer, and try the different pre-workouts. They're kind enough to throw in some samples here and there. And whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by to grab a few Quest bars. read more

This store earned a zero star rating from me. Poor customer service; inattentive and rude. The store clerk preferred to chat with his friend on the phone rather than charge me $16.99 for something I later purchased on Amazon for $9.99 (same brand and same quantity). In this day and age where almost everything can be purchased online - brick and mortar stores should make an effort to earn the premium they charge for their products. This store should be avoided. read more

When I first got there the open sign was on but the door was locked and a sign said "I'm in the back call me at 562-***-****" so I called of course no one answered and so I walk around Sally's next door and I'm trying to decide if I should just go to the one at the whittwood and as I'm walking by I see the guy in there and so I wait at the door and the guy just stares at me for like two minutes before he answers the door. I tell him I'm looking for a multivitamin with biotin and a meal replacer. So he brings me this giant box of vitamins and a giant jar of protein. I agree to buy these items and a 2 year membership to GNC but then I see that the protein is but one get one 50% off so I agree to buy a second one but then as he is ringing me up he MANUALLY overrides the membership price and charges me the full $80 for the protein. Ive worked in retail and I understand if it's a sale and you can't do a double discount but if that was the case the system would do it automatically and he could have told me. AND he didn't even put an expiration date on membership tag and it clearly states on the card that it is considered invalid without one. Regardless this location may be closer to my house but I will never come back. I recommend going to the GNC at the Whittwood the people who work there are much more helpful and friendlier. read more
