Heritage Natural Market - Crystal + Natural Goods Visit Review…read moreI stopped by Heritage Natural Market recently to pick up some crystals and sage for my new place. The store is definitely unique, offering a variety of natural goods--from loose teas and spices to crystals and spiritual items--but I had a mixed experience. Crystal Shopping Experience When I arrived, I waited patiently by the crystal counter for quite a while. The woman working was helping someone at the register, so I assumed she saw me and would assist when she could. Unfortunately, I had to speak up and ask for help, which felt a little awkward after standing there for so long without being acknowledged. Once she came over, she was very knowledgeable about the crystals--which I appreciated. I gave her a list, but she was pretty pushy in trying to upsell me on crystals that weren't on it. She kept insisting I "needed" certain stones and that they were "must-haves," which was honestly a bit too much. I was looking for guidance, not a hard sell. I even asked if a smaller version of one crystal was available, and she told me no--but when I looked myself, I found smaller and more appropriate options for my space. Store Layout + Products The store has a ton of bulk goods--spices, teas, beans, candies, etc.--but I'll be honest, some bins looked like they hadn't been rotated or updated in a while. I was hesitant to buy anything from them this visit because a few items appeared dusty or outdated. Vibe While I value passion and expertise, the employee's approach felt overbearing at times. I even felt followed a bit while browsing. For a space that's supposed to feel calming and welcoming, it gave me the opposite vibe. Will I go back? Yes, mainly because there aren't many natural stores like this in the area, and they do have a wide range of items. But next time, I'll likely skip the crystal counter and go in with a firm list and boundaries.

It is well-organized and in spite of its size boasts a considerable inventory. Everything about this place is great. Upon entering, a pretty woman named Noelle greets you. This shop seems to get a steady stream of customers. Despite this, Noelle doesn't just ring you up and send you on your way. She takes the time to find out what you are trying to find a remedy for. Her knowledge is impressive. She makes recommendations and prints out information about each item you purchase. She'll also write notes on there for usage (amounts and frequency). Some of the testimonies of the people that come here to heal themselves are amazing. Doctors have their place, but whenever possible, natural is always the best route. God gave us what we need to keep ourselves well and it isn't in a tablet comprised of various chemicals with horrendous side effects. Pay now or pay later for your health. Before my neighbor introduced to me The Neighborhood Harvest I was getting my greens and veggies from the local Food Lion or Krogers. It was difficult to find organic produce that wasn't already ready to go bad. The greens and veggies I get every week are SO FRESH and DELICIOUS! I typically get kale, cucumbers and a bag of the Green Machine blend which is perfect for my daily green smoothies! There hasn't been a time yet that the greens haven't been perfect, never wilted or smelly! We recently tried the fresh apple cider, it was SO GOOD! We just got a notice that they are having fresh cookies as well so we are definitely going to place an order for those as well! I especially love that I am assigned to my own Neighborhood Harvest representative who checks in with me periodically to make sure I am a happy customer. I get text messages of any particular deals they are having, last week they were having a deal on pears. I don't mind having to place my ice packs out in my cooler the night before and so far I've never had a problem with my deliveries. What a cool and eclectic spot!…read more So random that we found this store, "Teddy's Health Food Market." We ended up here after a failed quest for donuts. (We were at DD next door, only to get coffee & NOT donuts, but that's another story.) This spot is walking distance from the oceanfront, and as mentioned above, right next to Dunkin Donuts. They share a parking lot. The inside is actually big; way bigger than it appears from the outside. What you'll notice first as soon as you come in is the smell of burning incense, which they sell here. What are the different things one can purchase from Teddy's? Vitamins, healthy "fixes" and ointments, different seasonings, organic wine, a selection of Gluten-free goods, teas, drinks, salt lamps, a decent selection of workout/protein powder and snacks, some gently worn clothing, shoes, postcards, sandals, and lots of trinkets. The woman working (not sure if she was the owner, I didn't ask,) was very friendly. I only ended up getting a bottle of Honest-tea - Moroccan Mint flavor. Yum! I was intrigued by, but didn't get, an Almond-Kale chocolate chip cookie! Whaaat?! Maybe next time. I'm always iffy about "good" food when they are low in calories. Lol.
