I have been a regular Customer to GNC for many years now. I went to this particular location to…read morepurchase 1 item and was charged 4 times for the item. When I called their customer service, I was told I had to wait 3 to 5 business days for an investigation due to problems with their system. Mind you, it was a good chunk of my money that they took from my bank account without my permission. So I asked how I was going to be compensated for the inconvenience as they were holding onto MY money that they were not authorized to take and for the stress that they were causing me. I was offered $10 off my next purchase, which obviously isn't an even trade. I waited a week and didn't hear from anyone so I called the store manager, who was very rude and treated me like I didn't have any right to ask for my money back. In the end he offered to give me a refund, but when I went into the store, again he was very rude and dismissive. I would highly recommend going to any other GNC store to avoid unnecessary extra charges, stress, and rude treatment. It was like they wanted to steal my money and give me attitude because I refused to let it go.

Absolutely unacceptable service. I purchased two gift cards, and the staff failed to mark the…read moredenominations on each. When I went to another location to check the balances, I discovered both cards were invalid. Returning to the original store, I wasted over 30 minutes only to be told the issue would be "investigated" and that I'd have to wait at least 48 hours for a refund. This was supposed to be a holiday gift, yet the staff showed zero urgency or care. To make matters worse, corporate customer service was equally dismissive--refusing to provide a case number or even a phone number for follow-up. The lack of accountability at every level is astounding. I will never shop at GNC again, nor recommend them to anyone. They've lost my trust and my business permanently.

(I didn't notice until I got home.) 3) Employee said returns must be done in 3 days or you only get store credit. That isn't printed on the receipt. It's posted on an 8x11 sheet on paper behind the register. Their website states "you may return the item within 30 days from the order date for a FULL refund of the purchase price". 4) Store credit will only be issued in the name of the purchaser and only for the location you purchased at, so if you move or don't want to do business with Nutrishop anymore, you can't even give away the store credit to someone else. 5) Prices are not competitive. The item I bought was 125% more expensive than the Florida-based online retailer I usually purchase from, and 29% more expensive than buying from the local Vitamin Shoppe.

The two people working were very nice and helpful. I had just come from a workout so I ordered a protein shake, the peanut butter one. It wasn't as sweet as other places I've been to but that's probably a good thing. It's also a tad pricier than other places I've been, but that's okay. Overall it was a good visit and I plan to go back.
