On the other side they charge a premium so much so that it ends up being even more expensive than in California itself (and California is expensive as hell already). But I love The Fresh Market and especially this one! Today they had Alaskan wild caught crab legs on sale. Now they're not usually in my budget but I decided to splurge except it was hard to get decent ones in my price range which was about a pound, pound and a half. The gentleman behind the meat counter (that was today, Friday, September 26 at about 12:30 PM) he was absolutely the best. He gave me a pound and a half breaking up a bag and taking out all the loose little bits so I didn't wind up with just shells. That was ao kind! It's clean, everyone is very friendly, it can get busy but they take it all in stride. If I could afford to do all my grocery shopping here, I would. It's always pleasant to walk into, it smells nice, the entrance is a little funky but that's just the design. People don't put their baskets up so it can block the entrance. That's not the store's fault and they do mind them often so it's not a permanent problem. I've had only one bad experience and it was in the bakery a few years ago. Everybody else has been so accommodating! I've been to their other stores in and around South Florida. They're all nice and clean but honestly, this is my favorite store hands-down. Don't come talking to me about Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, it's The Fresh Market for me!
